When your parents are friends, your supposed to be friends; that's just how it goes right?

Well not for me, I'm Kristy Johnson, a regular 16 year old. My parents just so happened to be friends with a lovely family- the Parkers. *Notice the sarcasm* Sure most of the family is fine especially Lucy, an 8 year old little cutie. But then there's Austin Parker, my... Well I'm not sure quite what he is.

A jerk? Check.

Annoying? Double Check.

Hot? Undeniably.

My job: pretend he's not there. (Which is a lot harder than it seems when he has the key to your house.)

Everyone thinks we're bound to fall in love with each other- your typical boy next door relationship, but reality check: this isn't a movie. The point is Austin is far from my Prince Charming.

He's athletic- I'm nerdy.

He parties- I study.

He's loud- I'm quiet.

And the most important difference...

He's popular- I'm not.

So I guess what I'm saying is if the circumstances were right and he wasn't as much of a jerk, there might be the slightest bit of hope for us. But he would have to actually want to be in the same room as me for that to happen; so I guess right now were stuck where we usually are...

Right in between love... And hate.
