After Niall had told me the secret Louis had been keeping from me, I found myself grow angrier and angrier. Why would Louis hide something like this from me? Why did it seem like noone never told me anything? Niall had got the hint that I wanted nothing more than to go home after my continued silence. He drove my dad's truck back to my house without another word.

Maybe Niall was a better person than I made him out to be. He never argued with me or disagreed with me whenever I said anything. Louis and my dad on the other hand liked to fight back, tell me I was in the wrong. Niall would never do that. He knew that I was still in a sensitive state of mind and he did nothing to jeopardize that.

"Shit," Niall cursed as he pulled my father's truck into the driveway. I didn't even bother to ask what was wrong, I already knew. Louis had beat us home, meaning that he knew Niall had come to get me instead of Harry.

I climbed out of the old Toyota and followed behind Niall up the driveway and to the porch. I'm guessing my dad had given each of the guys a key to the house, because the anxious blonde boy retrieved it from his back pocket, opening up the door for me. I knew he was nervous and I knew Louis wasn't happy, so I took cautious steps inside.

Niall shut the door behind me. "Ello? Where's everyone at?"

Harry came from the direction of the living room first, giving us both apologetic looks. "Hey guys, I'm so sorry. I tried to stall Louis but he came home too early and -"

"S'alright," Niall shushed his friend.

I stepped forward. "Niall, I-I'm sorry. I didn't think you'd be in trouble, it shouldn't be such a big deal. Louis'll brush it off, right? It's not like you did anything wrong."

"He didn't do anything wrong?" Louis' voice rang from the living room. He emerged from around the corner seconds later with Liam and Zayn hot on his heels. "So you're telling me sneaking out and taking my little sister without my permission is nothing wrong?"

"Louis, it's not like I'm hurt or anything. It was a ride home from school. At least he bothered to even pick me up in the first place, unlike you!"

Niall put his arm in front of my waist, urging me to take a step back. "Aubrey, it's okay. I can deal with this myself."

"Yeah Aubrey," Louis nodded, his gaze hardening on me. "Go upstairs and let Niall deal with it himself."

"No!" I rolled my eyes, shoving Niall's arm away from me. "Louis, I know the last time you saw me I was thirteen, but in case you haven't noticed, I am not your baby sister anymore! You can't protect me from everything! I'm a senior in high school, I'm eighteen years old! You aren't the boss of me, Louis, and I can hang with whoever the hell I want whether you like it or not!"

"Aubrey - " Louis started again, a look of anger flushing across his face.

"It isn't Niall's fault," I blurted before I could stop myself. "I... I called him and asked him to come and pick me up. It was all me."

"Aubrey," Niall whisper-shouted in my ear. "What are you - ?"

"Is that true?" Louis asked, raising a suspicious eyebrow at Niall and I.

I glanced over at Harry, who was shaking his head at me, attempting to get me to stop my lie before it went too far. My eyes wandered back to Louis, staring coldly at him. "Yeah, it's true."

"Jeez," Louis groaned, running his fingers through his fringe. It was clear that he was thinking about something else to say. "I should've come to get you myself from the start. I knew I shouldn't have trusted any of you with her."
