Chapter 21

There was ear piercing screams ringing thought my head as we pushed though the crowd surrounding us. I could still feel Ashton's hand holding a strong grip on mine. The bodyguards surrounding all of us were huge. This is crazy. People screaming in your ears and grabbing you every which way.

We got inside and my head was killing me. I realized I was holding in my breathe and I let it go. I rubbed my head. The boys were rushed to sound check so I went to ask Caitlin if she has some pain killer. I ran into Lou and asked her if she had any and she did. "All the screaming get to ya?" she asked me smiling. "Yes. I'm not quit used to it yet." I said slightly smiling. "You never can get quit used to it. These boys aren't even fully used to it." she said giving me the medicine. I took it and sat back on the couch.

I felt my phone vibrating I pulled it out my pocket and saw it was my mom. I slide my finger across the screen to answer it.

"Hello?" I said into the phone.

I heard someone take in a deep breath on the other side of the phone. "Hi sweetheart." I heard my mom say her voice sounding shaky. "Hey mom. What's wrong?" I said. "Um baby you might wanna come home for a bit. Your grandmother is in the hospital." her words rang trough the phone like a megaphone. I felt a lump in my throat as Caitlin walked into the room. "Taylor why do you look so pale?" she asked looking worried. "Um I have to go home." I said standing up. "What? Why?!" she asked following me. "My grandma is in the hospital my mom called and told me so I have to go home." I said opening the back door to the arena into the screaming people. I pushed through them and got in the bus fast Caitlin following me.

I got my suitcase and began throwing things in them. "Well you need to tell Ashton. Maybe he will go with you?" Caitlin said as I frantically ran around the bus getting my stuff. I paused for a second at what she said. "No I can't, he will wanna go but he can't he has the tour. And I'll only be gone for a bit." I said pulling my hair up into a bun. I began to write a note to Ashton then handing it to Caitlin. I got on my laptop quickly and ordered a ticket to fly back home. It should only take and hour or two by plane so I will get home quickly.

I got my bags and I talked to john and he said he would drive me to the airport. I got in the can and john drove off. Cameras where everywhere I wonder what kind of story they are gonna come up with.

Ashton's POV:

Sound check ended and I walked back stage to find Taylor. I couldn't find her. I saw Caitlin sitting in the dressing room looking nervous. "Hey do you know where Taylor is?" I said walking into the dressing room. She glanced up at me then stood and pulled something out of her pocket and handed it to me.

It was a note I took it and opened it.

"Ashton,

I'm sorry I left with out telling you but a family emergency came up so I had to leave for a couple days. I don't want you to worry I'm fine by the time you read this I will be on a plane home. But I'll be back. I didn't tell you in person because I knew you would want to come with me but you need to stay for the shows. I'll see you soon.

I love you. So much.

-Taylor "

I read the note over again and frowned. "Do you know whats going on in her family?" I asked Caitlin. "Her grandma. She's in the hospital. But that's all I know." she said quietly. "Um well thinks for giving me the note." I said walking out.

I wish she would have told me. But her family needs some time together and with her grandma. She has been gone from home a while but I don't like her being away from me. I feel like half of me is missing when she's not here.

I sighed and went to the other dressing room and laid on the couch. I decided to sleep some before the show and clear my head. But I wanted to call Taylor first. I got out my phone and filled her number. It went straight to voicemail, great it's off. I hope she's okay I closed my eyes picturing Taylor in my head smiling and giggling. Soon I drifted to sleep.
