Chapter 2
"Shall we go have dinner to celebrate?" Jimi asked. The band all agreed and they headed to Applebee's. The guys decided to have a drink so they sat at the bar. The girls sat at the booth the waitress lead them to. The girls got to talking about girl things, like makeup and all that girly stuff. The guys had one drink and decided it would be best to sit with the girls and order. They sat down at the booth, with the women sitting across from them. They ordered and their meals came relatively fast. They got to talking about new singles and who was gonna sing what part, just normal band conversations. "I really think you and Karen should sing that." Phillip said. Kimberly agreed with Phillip. Jimi looked at Karen. "I guess we could at least give it a try." He said while shrugging his shoulders. Karen stayed silent. The rest of the time consisted on them chowing down on their food. Phillip and Jimi paid for the meals. They all left and got back in the truck. "Thanks for tonight." Both of the women said at the same time. Phillip looked at Jimi, who was driving. They both laughed. "Y'all are worse than sisters when it comes to saying things at the same time." Jimi said and looked in the rear view mirror. He caught himself only looking at Karen. Karen noticed and he immediately took his eyes off of the mirror and on the road. He always knew he kind of liked Karen, but was too scared to man up to it. They finally got to the studio. They went into the recording room and started to sing the song they were talking about earlier at dinner. As soon as they finished their manager walked in clapping his hands. "That's definitely your next single." The band all smiled. "Nice choice of harmonies." Their manager said. "Since y'all have done so good, take the night off, considering its already eleven." The band put the headphones on the rack and headed out of the studio.
