The Only Star I Need - Mettaton x Reader

I sat as Alphys worked on Mettatons wires. He had woken up, and his eyes seemed dull, and worn out."M-Mettaton?" Alphys asked as he turned his head, glancing at her. "What h-happened out t-there?"  He sighed and looked at me before speaking slowly. "Well..... After (Y/n) and I got separated, the police chased me down... They cornered me and started talking, when something grabbed them, and smoke covered the area. They were no where to be seen, with all the smoke."He stopped, and took a deep breath." Laughter....Laughter was all I heard, before I was being thrown all over, and a voice repeated, '(Y/n)' as it did so...... Before I knew what I was doing I ran.... I ran as fast as I could, untl my legs gave out. ... Then I heard (Y/n), and I collapsed onto her.... She helped me a lot." He smiled slightly at me. Alphys spoke, "Why would they b-be chasing you I-In the first place?" I glanced at the T-v, and went over to it, turning it on. "No idea darling. But they must've mistaken me for whatever attacked me..."

I turned up the volume. "Um, guys?" They glanced towards me, and Mettatons eyes widened, as did Alphys's. "Three cops found dead, at connan Woods, and one severly wounded." The reporter spoke, and they brought the wounded cop, over. "Hello, sir, would you mind telling us what happened?" The reporter asked politely. "That robot.... he.. he attacked us!! After we found him in the park with a young girl, we chased him down. He killed them, just like he killed those other women..."The cop spoke, angrily, with tears in his eyes.

I glanced at Mettaton, and he looked hurt. "But that's a lie!" I walked over to him, and Alphys picked up the phone to call the others. Mettaton looked down, and his hair covered his face, as he thought it over. "Mettaton, whoever it was has been posing as you and killing people.... I've only known you personally for a small time, but Watching you on your show, and having you help me... I know it wasn't you, and I know you wouldn't hurt anyone." I hugged him, and he smiled. "Thank you darling.... Even Frisk knew that in the underground. They spared me. I don't think I deserved it, after what I put them through... after all my antics, and they still-"  "Guys!!" Alphys yelled to us, "The police are h-here!!" Mettaton's wires were still a little messed up, but he could walk. We both neared the window, and the house was surrounded. We gasped, and I went to grab my stuff, as Alphys explained her plan. "Ok, s-so we could either... Hide until they leave... Have me go out and tell them you aren't here, as  you hide... or... we take our chances a-and run." She glanced at us, and our bags. "Darling... the last one wouldn't work, they would follow us, and the second one will make you look suspicious. So I say we go with the first one." He glanced at me, and I shook my head 'Yes'. We all hid, underneath a hidden floorboard In the guest bedroom.

They finnaly left after searching the house three times.

Mettaton got up, and we all headed out the back door, and ran. Mettaton was fairly fixed, and could walk, so I helped him run, as we headed to Papyrus, and Sans, knowing they could help.

Upon seeing the house, we tried to run faster, and setting foot by the door was relief. Alphys knocked, and Sans opened the door. "Wassup?"

"Sans, we need to come inside we will explain later." I spoke. He shrugged, and let us in, and Papyrus called in from the kitchen. "SANS!!! WHO IS AT THE DOOR?!" I chuckled as he went in to talk to him. We took a seat on the couch, and waited for the two skeletons, to return. Mettaton looked slightly embarrassed.Sans walked back in the room. "Pap is makin' spaghetti.. not that its edible." He sat next to me, ".Sooo.... Whatcha guys need?" That's when we started to explain everything, and soon Papyrus joined us as well.
