The Only Star I Need - Mettaton x Reader

"Darling get up!" You sat up groggly and opened your eyes seeing Mettaton hovering over you. You blushed, "What?" He smiled at you and pulled you out of bed, and ushered you to the closet. You got dressed and Mettaton pushed you out the door. You glanced Mettaton a confused look, and he smiled. "Its late, why are we going outside?" When he didn't respond, You huffed and he laughed. "Darling, I cannot tell you, its a surprise!" He grabbed your hand, and put a blingfold over your eyes. "Umm... I cant see?" He laughed and dragged you along. The cold started to get to you, and you shivered.  Mettaton let go of your hand and you felt around for him.

"Mettaton?" Something cold smacked into your face, and you yelped, tipping over, into the snow. Robotic laughter was heard, and you ripped off your blindfold. Mettaton was holding his stomach in a fit of laughter. "Oh you wanna act like a child eh?" You murmered, and picked up a ball of snow, hitting him smack in the face. You burst out laughing as he went on about his 'Combed hair, and beautiful face'.

You stopped laughing as you both heard yelling. "He's over here!!" A blur of red and yellow rushed past you, and into the woods. Police came out, and pointed at Mettaton. "There he is!!" They charged. Mettaton grabed your hand and you ran. "What's going on?!" You and Mettaton ran faster.  "No idea!" You both turned. You split. "Well isn't that great." You said sarcasticly, and picked up the pace. You heard less yelling and turned. No one was there. You looked around, and started back to look for the robot. You heard panting, and whipped your head around. "Mettaton!!!" You ran over to him ,and he collapsed, his chest plate sparking. He looked worn out. "S-something... it came out of no... no where Darling!" You held him up, as his voice glitched. "T-t-the c-cops.... they chas-s-sed me threw the woods... w-w-when I t-tur-r-rned they were gone.... This 'Thing' Started to chase me, and I-it laughed.....I t-t-thin-n-k it slit a few w-wires but..." You shushed him, and helped to get him back home.

Upon seeing the house you sighed, and got Mettaton threw the door, and into his room. You layed him down and started to the phone, dialing Alphys's number. After several rings, she picked up. "M-Mettaton I told you-"

"Its (Y/n)."

"(Y/N)?"

"Mettaton is hurt, and I need you to be over her asap."

"O-Oh! I'll be right over, after all, if you called, then its an emergency." She said, hanging up right after. You glanced at Mettaton, and your face fell.

'What happened out there?' You thought, sitting on the edge of his bed, as his breathing glitched.
