Horror of our love

"I'm here my love." the dark shadow said with a smile. The voice was a mans, it scared me yet his voice was gentle. Before I could think the shadow was hugging me I struggled, but he held me tight. My head was being held into his chest by his hand, he was warm and his chest was hard.

Charlie stood and picked up the shadow, and threw him against the wall.

"Stay away from her" Charlie growled.

The shadow began to laugh.

"you think that you can keep me away from my true love?" the shadow laughed.

(what is he talking about 'true love'?)

"Stop it Ludo, you know that you can't have her!" Charlie growled. Finally I was able to see this man as he stood up. He had black hair and a perfect face much like Charlie's. He looked down at me and smiled.

(w-what's up with his eyes, And his teeth!?)

His teeth were sharp and his eyes were blood red. He walked towards me slowly, my body was shaking violently.

(h-he's so scary, what should I do?)

He knelt down, grabbed my wrists with his hands and looked me in the eyes.

"you'd better get away from her!" Charlie yelled as he stepped forward. Ludo glared at Charlie and then let go of my wrists. He stood up and walked to the other side of the cave and sat on the floor.

"Charlie why must you ruin all of my fun?" he said with a smile.

"he is the one who was trying to rape you last night." Charlie said looking at me.

"I would never do that to my lovely jade!" he said looking at me happily.

"well I was trying to stop him, and then you fell into the river-"

"and then he jumped after you to save you, I would have done the same of course, but we all know that cats don't like water." Ludo finished.

"wait what does a cat have to do with this?" I questioned.

"oh I'm sorry, I thought that Charlie would have told you already." Ludo glanced at Charlie. "Well me Charlie and eleven other lucky people are part of a little curse." he chuckled.

"the curse of the zodiac" Charlie said as he looked at the ground.

"yes we all turn into animals every so often, and times in which we are stressed out, or we could also turn when we want. For example last night when we were chasing you, and you fell into the river Charlie turned into his zodiac animal and saved you." I wasn't sure what to say. An awkward silence fell upon us.

(this must be some sort of joke... Right? It couldn't possibly be true, I need proof!)

"let me see." I said without thinking.

"What?" Charlie looked like he was thinking 'is she seriously buying this?'.

"Alright!" Ludo said excitedly. He slowly started to shrink and grow ears and a tail, black fur grew on his face and his nose started to turn pink. He had turned into a small black cat with red eyes. "your turn Charlie!" he said with a purr. Charlie looked down at the ground like he was ashamed of himself. He slowly grew floppy brown ears and a tail that matched. He shrunk down and turned into his animal form. He was a brown dog.
