Duet with myself

Im sorry

I walked outside of the cave, and looked for Charlie. I walked along a small trail that he might have walked down. It wound around the trees, I started to hear the sound of rushing water. The path led me past a large boulder, as I turned the corner of the boulder I found a beautiful water fall and a small pond. I walked to the edge of the pond and looked at the water.

(the water is so clear and blue, I wonder where Charlie ran off to, he must be really mad at me because of what I did.)

I stuck my foot in the water, it was a nice cool temperature on this hot summer day.

(hey where are my shoes? They must be back at the cave.)

I looked down at my clothes, my shirt and pants were covered in dirt.

(oh great I'm all dirty from my little run in the woods last night. I might as well wash off here.)

I walked into the water, and swam around in the water for a while, until I heard Charlie's voice.

"Going for a swim?"

"Charlie I was looking for you!" I said smiling.

"what did you want me for?" he said frowning.

"I-I just wanted to apologize for hitting you earlier, I just wanted to stop you guys from fighting, so I acted out of line. I'm sorry." I said hoping he would forgive me. Charlie turned around and began walking away. I turned away.

(I guess he doesn't forgive me.)

Then I heard running on the ground, I turned to see Charlie soaring through the air and landed in a splash next to me. His head popped out of the water next to me, his hair darkened and stuck to his face. He shook his head wiping his hair around and splattering water on me. I giggled and went under water, when I came up I shook my head trying to mimic Charlie. He laughed and transformed into a dog.

"wanna race me?" he asked.

"only if you're ok with losing." I laughed.

"haha alright, ready, set, GO!" Charlie yelled, we both swam, I did the front crawl and Charlie did the doggy paddle, of course. We weren't really sure where we were swimming to, but we just concluded that Charlie had won.

"Hey Jade, I had been meaning to ask you something." Charlie said as he swam in place.

"What is it?"

"Well um you wouldn't happen to live alone would you?" he asked.

"um, yes I do."

"well I was just wondering..." he paused "do you think that I could live with you?"

"um I don't know, you would have to help pay rent, and help buy household items."

"yeah I could do that! Are you sure it's ok with you?"

"yeah it should be fine."

"Alright I'll go pack my things!" he said with a smile.
