The strong smell of vanilla extract hit my nose as I opened the door of Pansy's parents bakery. Pansy, Marcus and James, who were sorting sweets, eyes fell on me as I walked in. Pansy smiled, as Marcus looked away and James looked panicked for what could happen.  I calmly set my pink bag on a table and walked towards them.

"Hey" I said as I hugged Pansy.

"Hello" Pansy replied.

"Hi" I said as I hugged James. I could feel his warm breath on my ear as he greeted me back.

"Marcus" I said, as I nodded looking rather bored.

"May" He said, staring blankly the other way.

"Oh come on you two" Started Pansy. "You two just need to stop this, whatever this is"

"I agree we should" Said Marcus.

"Well I don't. When I go and play with your sister's feelings and have her cry to you, we can be even."

"Wait...you played with one of May's  brothers feelings? You didn't tell me that!" Pansy said surprised, staring at Marcus. "Marcus, what exactly happened?"

"Well I created this online account to meet other people and got to Daniel's profile and started talking to hi--"

"Where you were using a fake profile as some random chick named Carina" I said, as I rolled my eyes.

"Yes I did, but--"

"You have no excuse for what you did!" I said.

"May, calm down" Said James. "We know that what he did was wrong but everyone deserves a second chance."

" He wants to apologize" Said Pansy.

"I'm not the one he should be apologizing to. He should apologize to my brother. If he apologizes to him, I MIGHT consider forgiving him."

"Marcus" Started Pansy.

"Now you know what to do" Continued James.

Marcus nodded seriously, and grabbed his backpack.

"And where are you going?" James asked him.

"To apologize. The faster I do, the faster I'll get my friend back." With that, he was gone.

"Well then" Said Pansy.  "May, you up for storing sweets?"

"Well first reason why I came was to eat them but the second was to help out" I said with a shrug.

"Then let's get to it!" Said Pansy as she twirled her finger in the air.

" Oh I'm totally kicking your ass on this!" I said, as I kicked Sam's butt spamming buttons, as we played a fighting game in his room.

"No you are not!" He yelled, as he clicked buttons like crazy.

Spam. Spam. Spam. Spam. Game over.

"Oh come on! You won AGAIN." Complained Sam. "And just by spamming" There he added an eye roll.

"Hey I can't help it if I'm awesome" I said as I threw myself on the bed like a potato.

Sam leaned down and kissed my dried lips. "You are pretty awesome." He said and then stared at me curiously from above.

"What are you staring at?"

"I'm just wondering something" He said.

"And that is?"

"What do you see in James?" He said questionably.

I sat up. "Why do you ask?"

"Because it always kinda seemed like it was just you and me" He said, as he shrugged. "I never saw him as your type"

"James is very sweet and kind." I answered.

"You and I have like a bunch of things in common. You and him barely have anything in common."

"Sam, you don't need to have everything in common with a person to love them"

"I know, but you and I get along more" He replied, as he took my hand. "You are choosing me right?"

"Sam, I'm not sure who I'm picking yet"

He sighed and I looked at him.

"I want you to promise me something"

"What?"

"If in the end I don't choose you, that I say again I don't know who I'm choosing yet, would you please remain my best friend no matter what happens?"

He stared blankly at the wall for a few minutes and then looked back at me.

" I promise, but let me tell you something. I will never stop loving you, I don't care if you choose James or some random dude, I'll always love you. Even when we are old and wrinkly with grandchildren." He nodded to himself with a grin. "May, promise me that no matter what, we will be there for each other."

"I promise" I said as squeezed his hand.

"Now tell me" He said, with a smirk. "I'm the better kisser right?"

I chuckled. " I don't know I feel like James might be the one winning this one.."

"Oh really?" He said as he pressed his lips to mine. "Am I on the lead now?"

"Nope" I said as he tried to get close to my lips but every time he'd get close, I moved out of the way.

"Damn it, stop being such a tease" He said, as he brushed his hair out in frustration.

" But you like it when I'm a tease" I said, with a pout.

"Well, I guess I do...BUT that's not the point!!" He said.

"Then what is?"

"I'm a better kissed than James" Sam said confidently.

I nodded, attempting not to bring his ego down.

" I'll prove it to you! Not here tho...mom is downstairs." He said, as he touched his hair again. " Oh I know!" He said, like a great idea popped in to his head.

I looked at him not surprised. "What do you know?"

"I'm gonna throw a party." He said.

"Sam your parents won't let you"

"And who is going to tell them as they are away on a trip?" He said with a smirk.

"You do know Margarita, Carlos and Ginny are around right?"

"They are staying with grandma" He said with a bigger smirk. "Mom and dad need someone to watch the house while they are away so...you know who is around to take care of it? Me!"

"Oh Sam..."

"Yep, it's party planning time" He nodded continually. "Plus prove that I'm the better kisser"
