Adams POV

I watched Aisha absent mindedly sipped her lemonade, "are you ok?" I asked. "Im sorry im a little distracted" she replied her gaze falling to the table. "I noticed what happened?" I questioned, "its stupid really" she answered her hands placed on mine. "If its upsetting you its not that stupid you can tell me you know" I said gently squeezing her hands. "Its just my house mate" she started, "what about him or her?" I questioned. "We had a massive bust up, he came home late after I spent all day making something decent. He doesn't appreciate anything I do, he said all these horrible things to me" She explained her voice cracking with unshed tears.

"He sounds like a bit of a dick, what did he say to you?" I asked. "Im sorry adam I cant" she said standing and running out the door. I blinked and grabbed her jacket and bag before I ran after her, I scanned the path and caught a glimpse of her running into the park opposite the café. I crossed the road and followed her, I saw her leaning on the bridge as I stopped in my tracks Listening to the quiet sobs coming from her direction.

I slowly walked over to her there were little splashes as her tears hit the lake, "I didn't mean to upset you" I said laying her jacket over the bridge barrier. "You didn't" she replied through her sobs, "whatever he said to you hes not worth this" I told her moving her hair from her face. "I know but I cant help it, it hurts so much" she cried. I held my arms open as she fell into them sobbing into my shoulder, I stroked her hair until her sobs died down.

She pulled away as I ran my thumb over her cheek wiping the mascara tracks away, she sniffed as I handed her a tissue. "Im sorry" she said quietly, "for what?" I questioned draping her jacket over her arms. "Crying all over you" she answered, I smiled "its cool I don't mind" I told her. "I don't make a habit of crying especially in front of people sometimes things just get too much" she told me her fingers laced with mine.

"Oh I feel you sometimes things just build until you crack" I commented, "I cant imagine you crying over anything" she answered. "You underestimate me, im a sensitive guy" I replied, she smiled "I know you are. I should probably get home" she stated. "How comes you always leave so early" I questioned, "because I have to be home to cook his highnesses dinner" she told me. "Screw him, let him cook his own. Why don't you stay the night round mine? I don't want that guy upsetting you again" I suggested.

She blinked and then nodded, "ok" she replied. I smiled and stood as we strolled through the park, we walked past a club. She stopped and looked in, "what is it?" I asked seeing tommy and the female he was with the other day locked in an embrace. "Ew looks like they are eating each others faces off" I commented, I looked at Aisha who had gone almost white. "What is it do you know them?" I asked, she shook her head "please lets just go" she said pulling me up the road.

We climbed into the car as we headed back to mine, I unlocked the door as we headed inside. "Drink?" I asked as she nodded, I went into the kitchen and poured out two glasses of lemonade. I walked back into the front room and found Aisha going through the films on my dvd rack. "You have so many" she said taking the glass I offered her. "Yeah theres a few did you want to watch some?" I questioned, "Ok which one?" she answered, She looked through them and picked velvet goldmine.

"Ive not seen this one" she commented holding it up, "its a good film . Its my favourite" I told her. I took it from her and placed it in the dvd player, "sit down i'll go get popcorn" I told her. She sat down as I went into the kitchen and rifled through the cupboards as I pulled out 3 different types of popcorn. I tipped them into bowls and took them into the front room, I pressed play and sat down. She settled next to me her head on my chest as I put my arm around her, her hand rested on my stomach as we watched the film.

"This is so nice" she mused, "You say that like you haven't been treated nicely" I stated. "I was once but  since then I don't know what being treated decently is" she commented. "Id never treat you badly" I told her, "you dont know me" she replied. "Are you trying to tell me youre a crazy nutter?" I laughed, "no but im a horrible person you dont deserve someone like me in your life" she reasoned. "Don't be so down on yourself, youre a lovely young lady" I reiterated. She laughed "you wouldn't say that if you knew" she answered sleepily her voice trailing away.

"Why not?" I said but I got no answer, I looked down and saw her laying across my lap her head on my thigh with her hair on her face. I gently moved it away, she was fast asleep. I ran my eyes over her in    the dim light, her long lashes fanned over her flushed cheeks and her lips parted as she breathed silently. I gently moved her from my lap scooping her into my arms as she nuzzled against my chest her fingertips gripping loosely to my shirt. I carried her upstairs and laid her on the bed, I draped the duvet over her as she sighed quietly and rolled over her nose buried in my pillow.
