Adams POV
"Adam I have something to tell you" Aisha said as she paused the film we were watching, I swallowed those seven word had my heart beating quicker. "What, wait is it bad?" I asked, she smiled, "depends how you look at it" she replied taking my hands in hers. "Youre worrying me what is it?" I questioned, "you know that I love you right and I dont want you to think youre trapped" she started. I nodded as she sighed quietly, silence hung in the air fro a few minutes as my eyes ran over her face. " Youre going to be a dad, Adam im pregnant" she told me.
I stared at her my eyes wide, completely speechless. "Say something adam please" she said her gaze meeting mine. "I cant believe it, youre pregnant?" I said, she looked slightly scared her eyes gauging my reaction. "Its yours I haven't slept with anyone else not even tommy I swear" she told me. "I believe you" I said standing and crossing the room. "Are you mad?" she asked as I picked up my phone, "no I just need a minute" I replied leaving the room and dialling a number.
"Whats up?" Amelie said as I headed for the garden, "shes pregnant. Amelie ive got a chick pregnant!" I told her. "Who is Aisha?" she asked, "yeah she just told me" I replied. "So? Youre happy with her aren't you?" she questioned. "Yeah but im only 24 how am I suppose to look after a baby? This is an actual person we're talking about here" I commented. "Oh you'll be fine, you'll make a great dad you crazy idiot. Dont doubt yourself adam, I believe you can do this you just need to believe it yourself" she stated.
"I cant help but doubt myself, ive never held a baby let alone looked after one" I said, she laughed "oh shut up what did you say when she told you?"she asked, "I didn't know what to say. I just say I needed a minute" I replied. "You muppet she will probably think youre pissed off at her. You love her right? And she loves you?" she replied. "Well yeah" I answered, "then get your ass back in there and speak to the poor girl! Anyhoo I haven't met her yet so, I wanna meet the girl" she replied.
"Then come round tonight you can meet her then" I told her, "I might just do that now go get your girl" she told me. "Ok" I said laughing, "good laters loser" she said putting the phone down. I stared at it and laughed, I left my phone on the side and went into the living room. Aisha wasn't in there, I called her name as I searched the rooms. "Aisha!" I called as I ran up the stairs, I heard quiet coughing coming from the bathroom as I pushed the door open. I found Aisha, "you don't need to see this adam" she said as I knelt down next to her rubbing my hand in circles on her back.
"Here" I said when she was done as I handed her a glass of water, my eyes fell onto her stomach as she pulled her arms round herself. "I didn't mean to upset you" I said quietly moving her hair from her face, "I know this isn't the best thing right now but" she started as I shushed her. "Im happy about it" I told her, she blinked "but you walked away" she told me. "It was a shock, im not going to deny that. I called my best friend she basically told me to man up and talk to you" I laughed.
She smiled "I get youre worried, I am too I mean ive never held a baby or been near one so I have no idea how the hell im going to look after one" she said laughing. "Oh I feel you, but we can learn together. Its just such a big step, its a lot to get my head around but I reckon we can handle the challenge" I said holding out my hand. "Together" she replied placing hers in mine, "Im going to be a dad" I smirked as she laughed.
A few hours later...
"Amelie is coming round tonight she wants to meet you" I told her as she raised her eyebrow at me. "Whos Amelie?" she asked, "my best friend" I told her. "Oh cool i'd like to meet her I can get all the dirt on you" she said smirking, "oh god what have I done" I said as she laughed. There was a knock at the door as I stood to answer it, "hey handsome" she said smirking as I let her in. "So wheres this girl then?" she asked throwing her jacket over the staircase bannister, "in there" I replied pointing to the front room.
"Awesome im gonna go say hi" she replied wandering into the front room, I followed her as she plonked herself down on the sofa. "Hey you must be Aisha, Im Amelie" she said as Aisha smiled. "Hey Adams told me a lot about you" she replied, "likewise I hear my boys gonna be a dad. Congrats" she told her as she looked up at me. I smiled and stood in the doorway as they talked like old friends, it meant a lot for her and Amelie to get along.
Amelie was always going to be part of my life, no matter what. She was my rock and my best friend, I left them to it as my phone rang in the kitchen. "Hello?" I said, "Adam its me tommy, please don't hang up just hear me out" he replied. "What do you want?" I questioned, "to apologise. What I did was twisted and fucked up I cant believe I did that to you. Im sorry that I did, and that you nearly died. I realise now that Im sick, like mentally I hope you can forgive me" he explained.
"Youre right it was twisted but im glad youre getting help at last. I accept your apology but we cant speak again" I told him. "Yeah I get it, how is Aisha?" he asked, "shes ok. Still thinks it was all her fault, you could have hurt her or the baby" I said. "Baby wait what?" tommy asked, "shes pregnant" I replied as ended the call.
