Dean was standing in the sad little cabin that Hope called home. Hope wrapped her arms around her desperatly thin body and, for the first time, Dean looked at her. Really looked at her. Her blonde hair was waist length and still had some dried blood through it, her body was all angles, sharp shoulder blades poked through her thin singlet and her skin was unnaturally pale. But, what cought the hunter's attention were her eyes. They were the most brilliant grey he had ever seen, silver streaks of colour swirled beside grey so dark it was almost black. They were a little unnerving, and they were trained on him. Dean shifted uncomfortably under their scrutiny and spoke up,
"Well, come on then".
"What!"
"Pardon?"
Both Sam and Hope asked, wearing identicle expressions of confusion.
Dean handed a burger to Hope,
"We're not gonna leave you here".
Sam stared at Dean with an expression that screamed YEAH WE ARE!, but he chose to ignore his younger brother. Hope couldn't stay here, she had no family and she was obviously hiding from someone.
"You want me to go with you?", she suddenly chirped.
He smiled at her,"Yeah".
Dean tried not to laugh as she stood up and started stuffing all her stuff into that horrible bag of hers.
Several minutes later, Sam, Dean and Hope were piled into the Impala and on their way out of town.
"So, do guys just travel around?"
Dean looked at Hope in the mirror, she stared back eagerly, excitment burning in those beautiful grey eyes,
"Uhhh... sort of," he began to explain. Usually he'd leave the explaining to Sammy, but he was staring out the window sulkily.
"We hunt demons and supernatural stuff".
"Oh, that's cool".
Dean slammed on the brakes and, both Dean and Sam turned to stare at the young girl in the back seat.
"Really?", Dean managed to choke out.
Hope replied, totally oblivious to the boys shocked faces, "Yeah, I mean, it's gotta be dangerous, but, yeah, saving people is pretty cool"
"Yeah", Dean echoed weakly as he started to drive again.
