"I need you to call Cas".

Dean had barely walked in when Sam was wanting him to do something. Hope watched as the guy from the car faded and Dean reverted back to the serious hunter he usually was. On the ride back to the motel, Dean had discovered Hope had excellent taste in music and, unlike Sammy, she didn't mind him singing. So, the entire way back to the dingy motel he sang at the top of his voice while Hope watched him happily.

"Yeah, whatever. Got you a burger", Dean replied throwing a burger at Sam.

"You know I get salads Dean", Sam whined.

Dean didn't reply, he was to busy stuffing the burger into his mouth. He had finished before Hope had even started. As Hope took her first bite Dean placed his hands together, looked up at the ceiling and said, very sweetly, "Cas, can you come down? We need to talk to you".

Hope chewed thoughtfully on her burger as she watched Dean. What was he doing? It looked like he was praying, but she didn't think he was that kind of person. Anyway, she was enjoying her burger so much she almost didn't notice the angel that had appeared beside Dean.

"Finally", Sam said from the corner.

Dean ignored his brother, "Hey Cas".

But, Cas was staring at Hope.

"Oh. Cas, this is Hope. Hope, this is Castiel".

"I am an Angel of the Lord", Castiel added helpfully, still looking at Hope with curiosity. It was beginning to weird her out a bit.

"I can tell".

Sam and Dean's jaws dropped, almost in perfect sync, and Castiel tilted his head in confusion.

"What?", Hope asked, everyone was staring at her now. What did I do? she thought as a warm blush swept over her cheeks.

Castiel finally asked her what they all wanted to know, "How can you tell?"

"I'm not stupid. I can SEE your wings. Also, Dean was praying a second ago, then POOF! you appeared", she couldn't understand why they were staring.

"Okay... Sam, Castiel and I are going to head out for a bit. Will you be okay here?", Dean said, after a moment of heavy silence, that even Castiel recognised as incredibly awkward. Nobody had expected Hope to say THAT.

"I'll be fine", she said going back to her burger, just glad it hadn't gone cold and the others had stopped staring.

The three of them stood just outside in the cold air.

"I told you we should have left her, she's probably some supernatural Thing", Sam said glaring at Dean accusingly. Like this was all Dean's fault.

"She's just a girl Sammy! Stop being stupid", he growled.

"He might have a point Dean", Cas chirped. "Nobody except other angels should be able to see my wings", he explained, noticing the look on his best friends face.

"Well, she can't be a demon. She had salt that time at the cabin and the Devil's Trap didn't effect her at all", Dean was getting sick of all the accusations, Hope was just a girl. Just a very lonely girl.

"She's not an angel is she Cas?", Sam asked, rubbing the back of his neck thoughtfully.

Castiel didn't move for a moment, but he replied, confusion leaking through his usually emotionless voice, "She's not an angel, she is... ", he paused, searching for the right word, "...tainted. But, she's too pure to be a demon".

"What if she's a bit of both?", said Dean suddenly.
