"What is that?"

"It's a lollipop Sam", Hope said as she walked through the door.

Dean looked up from the tv that was currently playing an episode of Dr. Sexy md. , "You were gone a while".

"Well, I found a quarter, bought a lollipop and bumped into some people", Hope replied with a smile.

This cought the brother's attention, "Who'd you run into?".

"Me". Meg sauntered into the room, her black singlet clung to her every curve. "Hello boys, long time no see".

Hope froze, "You know them?" she asked Meg.

"Yeah, she knows us. What are you doing here Meg?", Dean asked, this was the first time since Hope had met Dean that he sounded truely dangerous.

"Babysitting, Hope here", she replied, her ever present smirk grew wider. She was definitly enjoying teasing Dean.

"Hello Dean".

Cas had just appeared in front of Dean. RIGHT in front of him.

Dean blushed, "We've talked about this Cas. Personal space", he grumbled, sounding uncomfortable.

Cas took a step back, Hope noticed how he did this rather reluctantly and smiled.

"Do you know why she's here?", Sam asked Castiel, ignoring the awkward tension.

Cas looked away from Dean's green eyes to reply to Sam, "It is as I told you three days ago, both heaven and hell want Hope. Meg's here to make sure we don't force her to side with us. I also have orders to protect her". Castiel looked at Hope, she looked totally at ease beside the smirking demon. He realised she was part angel but, for someone who was part demon, Hope looked just like him. She wasn't malicious or evil like the demons Cas had met before, and she seemed infinately nicer and more caring than most of the angels. He couldn't form a proper opinion on her yet but, he thought with a wry smile, with the amount of time he was bound to spend around her, it wouldn't take long to get to know her.

"Well, while you guys try not to kill each other, I'm going to have a shower. I feel way better after my run", with a small smile and a wave in Castiel's direction, he watched as she walked out of the room.

Hope padded quietly into the tiny bathroom and sighed softly at her reflection. Her silvery blonde hair tumbled down her back lightly as she tugged at the elastic. The mirror intensified the harsh light that spilled across her face and as Hope turned away from her pale reflection she saw movement out the corner of her eye.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!", she screamed. A moment later she heard fists pounding against the bathroom door and she yelled out in a trembling voice, "Castiel, why do I...". Hope was having trouble saying the word. "Why do I have wings?".
