Raised by his eldest brothers, Jason Clark was never close to being the protector of the Hellblau Village. His oldest brother, Jack Clark took charge to watch over the village people. John Clark, oldest twin, was the one who normally helped Jack in hunting. Jason's only job was to be stuck at home, doing chores and missing out in all the adventure. He envied them, but no matter, he still loved his brothers.
Despite not being a protector, he took pride in learning to be a heavy armored Warrior. It was a dream come true. At only 16, and six minutes younger than John, he was still able to achieve most of the things he dreamed in life. For only being three years older than the twins, Jack still held the personality of a child, which kept the family happy, since now they only had each other.
The sun shined brightly in Jason's long black hair that reached his chin, making it glisten. He let his hair fall in his face as he threw the garbage away. His light blue eyes have adjusted to the sunlight as well as the weight of his heavy armor. He finally headed back to the cabin, finished with all his chores, plus his brothers' chores. It never took him long to finish, he's gotten used to his chores ever since he was a child. He planned to relax for a good hour, then check on the villagers.
He's been the helpful type since he was little. He'd travel from cabin to cabin, assisting everyone he could. It's just the way he grew up, the way he knew he stay forever like.
After a good few minutes passed, Jack busted through their cabin door, gasping for air. Sweat made his forehead shine as it dripped, revealing worry in his eyes. "Where's John?"
Jason looked at him puzzled, but he wasn't too concerned at the moment for he was exhausted. "He was with you the whole time."
"Fuck", Jack cussed as he started to panic. He was stressed and frustrated for his brother. Normally John would inform him if he'd go anywhere, and not being able to find him made Jack worry. "This better not be a joke Jason!"
"Why would I be joking", Jason scoffed, trying to rest on the sofa he built himself years ago.
Jack looked back at the Dunkel Woods. The dark leaves hid many things in them, including most of the sunlight. He remembers how in the past, the twins would get lost in there and the whole village would have to search for them. But now the twins were close to adulthood, and the forest was no longer a joke. It held as much danger as it held darkness. "Help me find him", he ordered.
Jason nodded, giving in to his brother's eagerness to search for John. He started a jog into the forest, his sword sheathed for emergencies. He was never the one with good speed nor sight nor good ears, but he was known for his sence to smell things from miles away. The fact that he couldn't smell the awful sweat and some type of odor called body spray that John always wore made him worry.
He knew he couldn't be dead, it was twin instinct, but what he knew was that John must have chased a creature into the forest, and could still be on the hunt, or possibly captured. Jason stopped at the end of the woods where it was peaceful. The small sounds changed the atmosphere around, but it was too quiet, which finally made him angry.
He ran back towards the village, now assuming Jack and John pulled a prank on him. The smell in the air brought confusion into him. Was that... smoke? It didn't smell like one just from any fire. It smelt as if it was burning more than wood as well. It was cooking something, and he knew it wasn't beef. It was a smell he never recognized.
He rushed to the village only to find it up in flames. The screams coming from the villagers frightened him. He ran through the fire, trying his best not to lose his consciousness from the order that escaped from the burning flesh around. Towards his cabin, he came to a halt. Jack laid not too far from their cabin, screaming and yanking his armor off as fire cooked him. He was almost as dark as charcoal, and all Jason could do was watch. But he refused for his brother to die in such a morbid way.
