Sam. The oldest out of three. Only at 17, he's still the trouble of the village. The only reason he was chosen to be the village Protector was because his parents didn't expect any more children. They regretted it at the end.

Sam Abell raised his two younger brothers, Sammy only at 13 and Henry at 10. His mother died after giving birth to Henry and his father committed suicide from all the pressure and depression. Sam had no trouble taking care of his brothers and the village. To him, it was a piece of cake.

Every second of the day, he treated them as his own. He even convinced Henry to call him dad because he didn't want Henry to live without a parent. Sammy on the other hand, never called him dad. He was old enough for the truth.

Now, as Sam heads out into the woods to hunt for food, he kissed Henry's head and hugged Sammy. "I'll be right back. I promise." Something their original father never told either of them. That's when Sam found him hanging from a tree. He was happy his brothers never saw their father that way, but with himself on the other hand, he had to fight the image out of his head every day and night.

Henry smiled, his big bright hazel eyes stung into Sam. The eyes of his mother. "Bye dad. Don't forget to bring me a head!"

Sammy waved, having almost black eyes like his father. Sam was the only peculiar one. "Same here", Sammy called before Sam vanished into the forest.

Sam gave them a nod, even though he was already so deep into the forest that they wouldn't be able to see him. "Won't forget. Love you guys." He whispered to himself as he ran deeper into the Schwarz Forest. His long brown hair that reached his nose, flew behind him. His purple eyes couldn't see very far, but he had excellent hearing.

As he attacked a bear, he started to wonder if it was possible to even remove the head without too much blood everywhere, but he was willing to try it for Sammy and Henry. Now with hours gone, he finally was able to remove the bears head. While heading back to his village, he could hear screaming from miles away. He dropped the head and ran as fast as he could towards the light that has illuminated the village.

There it was. The houses were turned to ash. The people that were once happy now no more expression on their cooked and burnt faces. He searched for his brothers, running back and forth, wanting, hoping they were well. It was the only noise left. He ran towards the faint sound, only to be too late. Henry and Sammy cooked in the ash of the cabin they once knew as home. Sam stared at them as they cooked in the blood fire, which calmed slowly. There was no family left for him.

The silence took over the night after the moon rose. Sam decided to get the bears head back to lay it next to Sammy and Henry. He always kept his promises.

Heading west, Sam found a camp. It was too faint to see since the night was pitch black, but he was able to listen. He was glad he was gifted with the ears. He was eavesdropping, learning their names and hearing their stories. Tony, Jason, Cole. Tony, the respectful fancy pants. Jason, the one who doesn't like to argue. And Cole, the one to fight with. Now Sam couldn't wait to meet them. He stepped out of the trees and bushes, heading towards their camp.

"Who might you be my friend", Tony called.

"Names Sam", he replied, stopping in front of the spears that stuck out of the ground. He looked at Tony's royal blue eyes. He was surprised that Tony didn't fear him, which made him fear Tony for some odd reason.

"What brings you here", Tony asked.

"Same thing happened with my village. Lost my two youngest brothers. I was the Warrior of the Lila Village and my village went down in flames", Sam answered.

"Alright Sam. I am..."

Sam shook his head. "No need to explain yourselves again. I heard everything", he said, touching his ear. "I have sound."

Tony smiled and replied. "I have speed."

Cole joined in. "I have sight."

Jason uttered. "I have smell."

Tony allowed him to enter their camp. They sat around the fire, keeping warm. Even though it was a hot world due to the burning star in the sky, it still had freezing nights.

They talked of their Natural Powers to each other, before Tony changed the subject. "Now, I suppose you already know our plan to visit The Mad Man Sam, so let us talk about him. Here is the story of The Mad Man, the one I learned as a child, but before I start. Do you believe in destiny?"

Cole chuckled while Jason thought it through. Sam didn't hesitate one second, speaking high with pride. "Yes."

Tony nodded. "Derek Davis. The hero of the world Leben. The story starts with him using the forces all over the world to destroy William Kun. Instead of dying, he allowed the power to get the best of him, and to stay hidden, he faked his death. William on the other hand survived the collision and I bet is out in hiding. We assume that it was him causing the fires. The fire was black magic, and only he can hold such power as that. As it states in that old fairytale we've all heard as kids, how he'll come back and new heroes would arise. I believe they weren't just fairytales. He's back to take Planet Leben for himself. And Derek can stop him. That's why we're on the hunt for him."

Sam laughed at Tony's remark, but after he saw that Tony's smile was no joke, he cleared his throat and looked at him in confusion. "Are you serious?Do you have a death wish or something? What if they're working together. What if he tricks us into doing evil. What if..."

"What if he doesn't", Tony said, glaring at Sam. "All of us made sacrifices for our villages. Now we'll sacrifice ourselves for the world. Let's just hope we don't screw it up."

"What if we die", Jason uttered, thinking way too far into everything.

Tony forced a smile, almost getting irritated by the way they kept questioning the worst. "Then new people will rise, unite, and take our place. And if they don't make it, the process goes on."

Sam chuckled. "What if Derek tricks us into doing his laundry."

Tony shrugs and gets to his feet, posing as a superhero. "Then our next mission shall be to remove the nightmare that has tainted his shirt!" He sat back in the grass, proud of himself. "He's about 26 now. He's still young but we'll give the man a break."

They laughed, not caring if they were heard by the wild. The fire illuminated the night sky as they celebrated for a new beginning. But there was one person watching them in the far distance, in Cole's blind spot. She whispered quietly, low enough so Sam wouldn't be able to hear her, to her friend right by her.

They disappeared into the darkness of the night and trees. Their obsession for the love of William took the best of them, and they became slaves only to be with him.
