Reader (Hyo) x Woo JiHo (Zico) of Block B
"Zico, I have something to tell you." Hyo shyly said as she slipped on her skirt. I raised my eyebrows as acknowledgement.
"But first, promise me we won't be awkward." She added and helped me button up my shirt before holding out her pinky.
I sighed.
"Fine." I promised and linked my pinky with hers.
"Well, here it goes."
"I....I like you, Zico." She gave a hopeful smile.
"What did you say?"
"I said I like you."
"I don't--"
She cut me off, her smile already faded into a frown.
"It's fine. I knew you'll never feel the same towards me anyway." Her head turned to face the floor as the words spilled out of her lips.
"I admit I'm hard to love but I still confessed and risked our friendship."
Her eyes met mine.
"Because I thought you were different."
She let out a fake chuckle.
"I guess it's just my body you love."
"Hyo, let me--" She cut me off once again.
"Say no more, Zico. I already know what you're gonna tell me."
"Well, just call me if you wanna do it again. Goodbye."
And with that, she ran out of my hotel room, slamming the door shut behind her.
That escalated quickly....
And you didn't even let me finish....
----
It's been two weeks. Two weeks since she walked out my door.
I can't contact her anymore.
I should've told her immediately.
I shouldn't have let her cut me off.
Now it's too late.
The words are forever locked up inside my mouth.
I can't believe I hurt my best friend.
God, this is all my fault...
"Here's your latté." The waitress put it down on my table, a piece of paper under the cup.
"Call me, pretty boy." She winked before leaving.
Was she flirting with me? No. Gross.
I took a sip from the cup, checking my phone after. Still no replies from Hyo....
The sound of the door hitting a bell caught my attention for no reason.
It's just the shop's bell, Zico. Ignore it. Wait for her reply.
"Welcome to the café, Miss!"
Suddenly, I heard a familiar voice say 'thank you' to the waitresses greeting.
Turning my head to face the counter, I see the back of a girl with brown locks.
I miss pulling those locks every night....
"Hyo?" I called. The girl looked at me, an unsettling smile on her face.
Without thinking, I stood up and ran to her.
"Hyo let's talk about this." I said, reaching for her hand.
"There's nothing to talk about, Zico." She answered back, burning hatred visible in her eyes.
After pulling her hand from mine, she ran out the door, leaving me dumbfounded for a short while.
Run, Zico. Run after her.
So I did. I ran after her. "Hey! Wait! You haven't paid for the latté yet!" The waitress (slash hoe) blocked the door.
Move away, bitch!
"Fine!" I shouted, throwing my wallet at her face right after.
I finally got out of the shop, but I already lost track of her. Internally, I cussed the hoe for stopping me.
Why did you let her get away again, Zico?! You're such an idiot.
My heart told me as I sat on the curb. Damn you, stupid heart.
Just then, I noticed dirty footsteps on the dirt leading to the alleyway beside the coffee shop. I felt a spark of hope run through my veins.
Go, Zico. Follow the trail.
"Hyo!" I kept shouting her name as I ran after her footsteps. At last, I saw her, sitting in the darkest side of the alley.
"Hyo let's talk about this. Please." I quietly pleaded, slowly walking towards her.
Is she crying?
I squatted down next to her and wrapped my arms around her shaking body.
"Hyo, you're freezing." She didn't respond. "Talk to me." Again, no response.
Be man enough and apologize!
I stood up and pulled her up to stand in front of me. I'm gonna make things right this time.
"Baby...."
"Don't baby me, Zico." She harshly spat out.
That's it! I've had enough of this.
I grabbed her shoulders and pulled her closer, enclosing her in a hug.
"You didn't let me finish last time." I said. Her hands tugged my shirt.
"I was gonna say that I don't like you back."
Her fists kept hitting my chest.
"Hey hey let me finish my statement."
She stopped to listen.
"I love you, not like you. There's a difference." I chuckled. She started to cry.
"I fucking thought....Fuck you. Fuck you and your unfinished sentences." She sobbed.
"I love you, Hyo~" I cooed.
"Fuck you." She hit my chest once again.
"I love you more." I laughed. "But I'll never ask you out, not even once."
She stared at me with her confused doe eyes.
"I like being friends with benefits waaaay better." I smirked at her.
"Now, baby. Let's go back to my hotel room and let me make it up to you. I'll do it hardcore, just the way you like it."
