Sunday
"Come on, we'll both tell her" Madison assured me.
"What if she kicks me out?" I started to worry.
"Then you can live with me, come on" she started to pull me up off my bed.
I started taking deep breaths.
We both started to descent down the stairs.
My brother and his basketball team were getting ready to leave for his basketball in a little bit.
It was 7 in the evening and my mom was getting ready to go to the basketball game.
Madison and I were going too, so we dressed in our school colors; purple and silver.
I found my mom in her room, which was downstairs. We had to walk past the living room to get to her room. I found her casually watching TV.
"Hey mom, I need to tell you something" I nervously said as Madison was standing beside me for moral support.
"What is it?" She asked concerned.
I had butterflies in my stomach and my palms were sweating.
"I-I made a mistake"
She looked confused.
"Okay so a couple months ago, when I left one night I didn't go to Madison's, I went to a party with one of my friends" I began to explain.
I waited for her response but she just kept looking at me to keep going.
"Anyways, Daniel and I got into a huge argument he left and I felt so careless and mad so I went to the party, drank and-"
"You drank? Maisie, that wasn't wise" she looked more disappointed instead of angry.
"There's more" I bit my lip, "there was this guy, and a few things happened that night and now I'm..." I looked at my stomach scared to even say it.
It was quiet, even my brother and his basketball team couldn't be heard.
"Maisie, having a kid is a huge responsibility" She asked recalling from what I explained earlier
"Yeah" I breathed.
"When did you find out?" She asked.
"Yesterday"
My mom sighed, "it's okay, did you tell the father?"
"No, that's what I was going to do tonight" I figured with my fingers.
"Okay, as long you tell the father. But when this baby is born, it is your responsibility to take care of it, I'll help you with anything you need, but you need to take care of it" she explained.
I smiled, "thanks for understanding mom and not slapping me up"
She got up and pulled me into a hug, "I might just have to slap you everyday" she joked.
I nodded and hugged her back.
"So Maisie is pregnant?" I released mom from our hug and looked behind to see Daniel.
