Dawn was in shock. What did this mean? Her heart started to race as her nose began to trickle blood. Oh no..not now. She stood up about to excuse herself to the restroom when she began to stumble, this one was hitting her particularly hard. Her vision began to narrow as she herd the rush of waves, she collapsed.
She woke up in the nurses office. She looked to the clock on the wall 5:30. Which meant the school was practically abandoned except for staff. Dawn hopped off the bed and ran to her professors classroom. She had so many questions. What did he mean wake up? Why was she still here? Shouldnt they have called her mom if she passed out?
She burst into the professors office where he sat patiently as if expecting her.
"Its about time you woke up Ms Adalin."
"Whats going on? Im late I need to call my mom."
"Relax Dawn we already called, said you were staying late for school work, she may not believe us but she played along for the moment, but we have no time to spare." He said gaining a serious tone.
"What are you talking about?? Have you gone mad??"
"You cant trust that woman Dawn."
"My mother??" I said growing frantic.
"You dont understand dawn thats not your mother. Just like that's not your father I'm not your professor and that young boy isnt your boyfriend. But theres no time to waste we must hurry. She probably already knows what I'm telling you and is most likely coming for me now."
Dawn diddnt know what to say. She had no idea what he was talking about.
"Dawn listen to me. I know you dont understand this now but you will, I urge you visit your 'fathers' library. Open up a book, any book!! But you must go quickly before she arrives. Go now!!!" He said loudly. Dawn hesitated for a moment as she starred at her teacher. Has he lost his mind? She ran out the door and down the road to her home.
Her mothers car wasnt in the driveway and the door was cracked open as if she ran out frantic.
Dawn took a deep breath before opening the door and approaching her fathers library.
