Idek if any of y'all can help, but it's worth an ask (also, I may or may not be desperate 😂)

I'm in AP Statistics and we have a quiz over discrete random variables tomorrow. I understand most of it, but I'm struggling with wrapping my head around how to find the median of a set of discrete random variables. I went to a site because they tend to put things into less words than the textbook but, while the reading itself was easier to comprehend, I'm still majorly confused.

Here's the explanation the site gave me: "The median of a discrete random variable is the "middle" value. It is the value of X for which P(X < x) is greater than or equal to 0.5 and P(X > x) is greater than or equal to 0.5."

What in the hell does that mean
