Chapter 8: Seasons Change

(Pete's POV)

We were making out until Joe and Andy walked in, looking very posses off at us. Which he been normal lately. I look at Patrick and sigh. I know he's really worried about Lilly and I am too.

She's our baby girl and it sucks that we're not going to be there for her. Patrick isn't supposed to be doing anything physical but he insisted on coming on this tour. So he's here.

I am worried that hes going to hurt himself. "Patrick, take it easy." I tell him.

Joe looks at me and sighs. "We're going to bed." Him and Andy walk to the bunks.

I look at Patrick who has started to get again. "Babe, we'll be home soon." I tried to comforting him. It's not easy for either one of us.

I let him get because I know he misses her. I miss her too and it hurts but I know that soon we'll see her again.

He puts his head on my chest and cries. "I miss her and Bren isn't the smartest person ever..so I worry."

"I worry about her too. We can do a video chat with Bren."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

I set up my computer and call Brendon.

(Brendon's POV)

My computer goes off on Skype so I answer it. "Hey, Pete and Patrick. Everything ok?" I ask as Ryan hands me Lilly. I take her carefully.

"Everything is fine. Just worried about our baby girl." Patrick says.

"She's wonderful. I haven't gotten any sleep but that's how babies are. I finally got her to sleep. How is touring going?" I tell them.

"Great. We miss Lilly a lot." Pete says.

Lilly starts to cry and I sigh. "She keeps crying. I don't know why but she just does." I say while rocking her.

"Brendon, you'll be an amazing dad someday." Patrick says.

"Thanks. I'm fine being Lilly's uncle. You two are lucky." I say with a laugh.

Pete looks at Lilly. "God, she's so beautiful like Patrick."

Patrick punches his arm and blushes. "Nope, she looks more like you."

Pete sighs, "not true."

I cut in. "She looks like the both of you. She has Patrick's eyes and Pete's smile." I tell them.

"I think we should let you get some rest. Goodnight Brendon." They both tell me.

(Patrick's POV)

After talking to Brendon I feel better. It's hard for me to be away from my daughter. I had to your after Declan was born and it was so hard. It's harder to be away from Lillian because she's also Pete's daughter.

I love that Pete has a family. I love touring but it's been really hard. Pete is handling it better than I am. I had her inside of me. And no one will know what that felt like except me.

I'm really tired from today's concert. I get on the bunk next to Pete and snuggle against him. "I love you." I tell him.

"I love you too and always will." He says, kissing my cheek.

I smile and kiss him. "Goodnight, gorgeous."

"You're more gorgeous. Goodnight my love." I look at my engagement ring for a while before I finally fall asleep.
