"You're my soulmate?!"
The two spies looked at each other with expressions showing nothing but shock. Hinata dropped his knife, making a small clank as it hit the concrete ground.
"N-no way! How can you be my soulmate?! We're enemies! I'm supposed to kill you!"
"I don't know why you're asking questions I don't know the answer to, dumbass!"
Hinata relaxed his body, slowly processing the situation. He got out of his defensive stance and looked the agent directly in the eye.
"Well. If you are my soulmate, then I should probably get your name, right?" Hinata outstretched his hand towards him. "I'm Hinata Shouyou!"
The agent widened his eyes at Hinata's friendly gesture, considering that they are supposed to be fighting. "I'm not giving you my name."
Hinata jumped back, letting out a gasp. "Eh?! But why? I know we are enemies, but getting along as soulmates is just as important!"
"If I give you my name, dumbass, I'll be blowing my cover as an agent. You must be new to working, because you just completely blew your cover."
Hinata placed his hand on his chin, thinking about his words and deciding if he messed up or not. He couldn't afford another screw-up.
"Well, I'm sure giving my name isn't too bad. But since I gave you mine..." Hinata dashed at the agent, unsheathing his knife, and placing it on his opponent's neck, while also keeping him in a headlock. "You should probably give me yours, right?"
The stubborn agent was caught off guard by Hinata's sudden action, and also the sudden change of tone in his voice. Thinking about his situation, he decided to give in, and give the orange haired agent victory for this round.
"Alright. Fine. My name is Kageyama Tobio. Now let me go."
With a little cheer, Hinata jumped off and put back his knife, with a large smile on his face. After finally easing the tension, Hinata scanned his surroundings, and admired the new world introduced to him. There was so longer only gray. Now, actual colors inhabited his sight, and he knew all of their names, as if the information had been locked away in the back of his mind and only his soulmate had the key.
Kageyama was also taking in his unknown surroundings. The silver metal of the warehouse reflected the light from the shining yellow sun. The dirt had a light brown hue to it, and his own outfit consisted mainly of black. But the most extravagant color was his soulmate's orange hair and eyes. They could be spotted from miles around in this dingy environment, easily catching eyes. Staring into his eyes could almost put a person into a trance by the cheerful emotion they emitted. Although Kageyama would probably never say it, but he was glad to have a soulmate with looks and a go-lucky personality like him, ignoring the fact that he got a soulmate of the same gender and fate was practically telling him 'Yes, my son. You are indeed gay.'
"Well, Kageyama. What are we gonna do?"
"I'm going to complete my mission of course." Hinata tilted his head to the side in confusion. Kageyama simply sighed.
"My mission was to not let you get the information. I can't let you get that. I need you to blow this place up."
"What?! Why would I do that?! I have a mission to complete too!"
"Well. It's your choice. You can go with my plan, or we can continue fighting, which I know you don't want to do." Hinata cringed at his logic. He didn't want to fight and possibly kill his soulmate.
"Alright. But in this plan, you get benefits. What do I get from this?"
While Kageyama was searching for some bombs, he paused for a second, thinking on how this could benefit the young agent. "Well. We still need those plans. We hid them here because it's a bit too obvious at our base. So, blowing them up will surely not help us. It still contains info that might still be useful."
Although not completely convinced, Hinata still grabbed a small bomb from his belt. Kageyama backed away from the building, while Hinata stood at it's door, and preparing to detonate the bomb. After activating it, he threw it in and ran towards Kageyama.
"Alright, Hinata. How much time do we have to run? Maybe 5 minutes?"
"What? No. It should be around 20 seconds."
Hearing that, Kageyama grabbed Hinata's hand and started running away from the building as fast as he could go. "DUMBASS HINATA! WHY DID YOU CHOOSE A 30 SECOND BOMB?"
"IT WAS THE ONLY BOMB I HAD!"
"Tch. Hey! Cover your head! It's gonna blow!" After saying that, the building blew up, throwing pieces of debris and metal everywhere and scattering them across the dirt. Hinata was slightly knocked over, and his tablet fell out of his bag.
"Dumbass. You dropped something."
Hinata looked down at his tablet and bent down to pick it up, but then got a call from Nishinoya.
"Oh. Nishinoya-san is calling." He answered the call, and immediately got bombarded with questions from his partner in a very concerned tone.
'Oi! Shouyou! I got a reading of an explosion in the area you were assigned to. What happened? Is the information safe? What about the agent you told me about earlier? Did they ask for backup? Do you need backup?'
"Ah, Nishinoya-san! Don't worry! I didn't get the information because we blew up the warehouse, but get this! That agent is my soulmate!"
Nishinoya stayed silent for at least 10 seconds, apparently in shock.
"Hello? Nis-"
"SHOUYOU WHAT THE HELL?"
"DUMBASS HINATA!"
"I-I-I'M SORRY!"
