As the two boys finished tousling on the ground, obviously ending in Hinata's victory, Ukai walked up and grabbed both of their hands, pulling them off of the dusty ground. They dusted their clothes off and returned their knives to their sheaths. Ukai patted Hinata's back, smiling.
¨Nice job as always, Hinata.¨ Hinata smiled at the praise he received and watched Ukai stroll to Kageyama, also putting his hand on his back.
¨Nice job to you to as well, Kageyama. Although Hinata won, I'd say the fight was pretty evenly matched. You'd have a good chance of winning next time.¨
¨No way I'd let Kageyama beat me! I've got to be the best!¨
¨What'd you say?! I'm definitely beating you next time!¨ The two agents once again started bickering about who would be the best, almost starting another fight.
¨You're both gonna be the best.¨ Ukai said, interrupting their argument and making them turn their heads in confusion. ¨You both are connected, as you already know, so you two are going to be partners from now on and you'll have to get along as well. When Hinata goes on missions, you're going to aid him Kageyama, and vice versa. As partners and soulmates, you two will support each other.¨
Hinata and Kageyama glanced at each other, not sure how to feel about the situation. Ukai crossed his arms and looked at them sternly, as if waiting for something. They both looked at each other again and Kageyama sighed, straightening himself out and holding out his hand.
"You're a niff.. knife... n-nice fighter, Hinata. Good to be working with you" he grumbled, as if it was the last thing he wanted to say. Hinata looked at him and his hand in confusion, but then his face lit up and he accepted the hand shake.
"You too, Kageyama! I'm excited to be working with you!" Ukai smiled and nodded.
"Alright. I'd say that's enough training for today. Head inside and get cleaned up. We have dinner in 30 minutes." They both nodded and bolted towards the building, racing and yelling on who would get there.

Dinner was always something to look forward to after a long day of training and/or missions. A delicious feast was prepared by the ladies of the agency, Kiyoko and Yachi and it was the best opportunity for everyone to talk and be themselves. It made the agency seem like one big happy family. Everyone sat at a long table, usually with their soulmates, but sometimes with other members. They all usually spend hours chatting about whatever comes to mind. Suga, Daichi, Asahi, Ukai, and Takeda sat at the end of the table, having civilized conversations like the responsible young adults there are. Noya, Tanaka, Hinata, and Kageyama on the other hand, were very loud and always ate insane amounts of food. Tsukishima and Yamaguchi sat together, snickering on the side. Just by looking at the scene, you'd never be able to tell that these people were all deadly agents.
After dinner ended, everyone helped with putting away the dishes and cleaning the table. Then it was relaxation time. Members could talk, get extra work done, or go into the game room where they have some couches, a TV, and some game systems. With so many young agents, most being in their late teens or early twenties, a room like this is almost necessary. They risk their lives and work hard every day; they deserve to have a little fun at night ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). All in all, nighttime at the KSS is very relaxing and a great end to the day.
Since everyone is a young adult, there are no set bedtimes, but 11 is average. Each room has two beds, so everyone has one roommate. If your soulmate has been found, then they are your roommate. Hinata was the only one without a soulmate, so he slept alone. Having finally found his soulmate, he was ecstatic. Hinata tended to talk to Kageyama as long as he could before he eventually told him to shut up, asking questions like "What was life like in KIS?" to "How'd you get your hair so soft?!" and then proceeding to try and touch it. Eventually, they got used to each other, and became the insane duo of the KSS.
ok so I honestly might drop this book. It's obvious I'm not as invested and I've taken an interest in a lot of other things. I'm not sure completely, but I'm leaning toward it.
