The road to the agency was long and unforgiving. Harsh winds came from a multitude of directions, threatening to overturn their bikes a number of times. The harsh sun left the two boys constantly hot and uncomfortable. Hours went by and soon it became even too difficult for Hinata to pursue any longer. Finding a decently open next a large tree, they set up camp.

Their camp didn't consist of much, only the bare necessities. Blankets, water, and food was the most they could carry on their motorcycles. Spreading out the blankets under the large tree, they hoped that the leaves would provide some coverage if some rain happened to stumble upon them in the night.

Hinata glanced around at their temporary camp until his eyes settled on Kageyama who was sitting against the tree, looking up at the stars. Hinata skipped over to him and plopped himself down, two water bottles in hand.

"Thirsty?" he asked, holding out one of the bottles. Kageyama took the bottle, nodding in thanks. He then looked back up to the sky, pondering.

"Why do you think we were chosen to be soulmates?" he finally asked after a long silence. Hinata looked at with surprise at first, but then smiled and joined his gaze with the sky.

"Why do you think?"

Kageyama faltered. "I don't know. I still don't understand this entire soulmate thing. It's confusing" he said, his eyebrows scrunching. "I couldn't stand you when I first met you. Obviously, because you were an enemy to me."

Hinata laughed and shook his head. "I didn't hate you."

Kageyama finally took his eyes of the sky to look at Hinata.

"I didn't hate you at all. You were amazing! You moved so fast and had so much skill! If you weren't in another agency, I would have asked you for pointers!"

Kageyama's cheeks turned slightly red as he gave a tiny scoff. "Don't underestimate yourself. You're pretty good too. That much is obvious after being at KSS for even just a day." He sat himself up and leaned against the tree. "The point I'm trying to make is I never expected to meet someone like you. I never expected to like someone like you" His cheeks turned an even darker shade of red as it quickly spread to the tops of his ears as well.

"Kage-" Kageyama quickly interrupted Hinata before he could say anything.

"Don't take that too far out of context o-okay? I just want you to know... You're a great team mate." He swiftly opened his water bottle and took a quick chug before putting it away and getting settled on his blanket. "We have to wake up early, so get to bed."

Hinata shook himself out of his daze and joined Kageyama on the large blanket they spread on the ground. Just before his mind slipped into slumber, he quietly muttered his reply.

"You're more than a great team mate, Kageyama"

The sun's rays hit the two sleeping boys faces, letting them know it was time to get back on the road. They both quickly packed and set back out on the road. Soon enough, the agency of Nekoma was right before them. It was placed quite hidden within the trees, with only a wall and door visible. It was made completely of steel with multiple locks next to the door. It was no doubt a well-secured base.

"S-so.. How are we getting in?" Hinata curiously asked while looking at the door.

"You're not getting in."

The two KSS boys froze at the sound of an unfamiliar voice behind them. Remembering what they are here for, they both slowly raised their hands and turned in the voice's direction. What met their eyes was a tall boy with messy black hair. His eyes were an elegant gold that stared with strong conviction. Double wielding two pistols, he kept his eyes fixed on the two intruders.

"I can tell you're both rookies. You didn't even bother to check the trees." He smirked as he said this, directing their eyes to a large branch maybe 50 feet high. He blended in so well and dropped down so quietly, they didn't even realize they weren't alone. With sweat accumulating on their foreheads, Hinata took initiative.

"Hello. We are both agents from Karasuno Secret Service. We came here to ask for an alliance with Nekoma." Hinata was surprisingly calm as he stated their goal, keeping direct eye contact. The stranger relaxed ever so slightly after hearing the proposal.

"Why should we form an alliance? Nekoma is already plenty strong." He smugly smirked as he stated this, as if it was his biggest pride.

Hinata took no time in answering. "Because we have a common enemy."

The man looked to the side in deep thought, knowing exactly who he was talking about. He then looked back at them and slowly advanced upon them.

"Keep your hands above your heads." They obeyed as the man gave them a quick pat down. After confirming that they had no weapons on them, he put away both of his guns into their holsters.

"Follow me." The man walked over to the door in the woods, placing his fingerprint on the scanner. After typing in a number combination, making sure the two strange boys weren't pulling any tricks, the door made a quiet clicking sound. It then swung open, revealing a small elevator. "You should talk with the rest of my team."

Hinata and Kageyama glanced at each other and gave reassuring nods before then walking into the elevator that would send them down into unknown territory.
