Chapter 4

"Dinner's ready!" Naima called from the kitchen.

Soon as Naima called them, the Idols were already running down the stairs, ready to find out what their dinner is.

Scotty wasn't one of the guys running down the stairs. He was the modest one. The shy one. The gentle one.

He was closing their bedroom door when he saw her just descending the stairs. He caught up with her.

"Hey," Scotty said.

She just smiled at him. He noticed that she was having a hard time climbing down the stairs.

"What happened?" Scotty asked.

"Oh, it's just sprained. That's all," she replied with a smile.

"Why?" Scotty asked once again. Obviously, in need of more details.

"Well, from all those swimming and wrestling and walking, my legs didn't have the chance to rest and now, it's killing me," she explained.

"Oh, here, let me help you," Scotty said and with that, he scooped her up and carried her bridal style. She held on to Scotty's neck and flashed him a smile.

"Thanks," she said to him.

Once again, Scotty's heart melted.

They reached the dining room and soon all of the Idol's eyes were all laid on them.

"What are you two doing?" Naima asked pointing at the two of them.

She and Scotty looked at each other before she speaked.

"Well, Scotty was just trying to help me," she answered Naima.

"Why?" Naima asked again.

"Because my legs hurt from all the swimming, wrestling, walking and all and my legs didn't had the chance to rest so, now it's killing me," she repeated what she said to Scotty a while ago.

Naima nodded her head in understanding.

"Bring her down, now," Naima instructed. Soon, she was heading to her own seat, which was beside James.

As soon as she settled down, she smiled at James. James smiled back. She then turned her attention to Paul.

"Paul, can you please pass the rice?" she pleaded.

"Sure, sweet tooth," Paul teased. She kicked Paul from under the table. Paul had to shout in pain. Everyone was now looking at him. She was giggling sweetly that it made James pinch her cheeks. She yelled in pain.

"Sorry," James said pinching it again. She pinched back harder for revenge.

"Okay, kids, enough. Ants are now wandering around," Naima said referring to their sweetness.

"We're not kids anymore, Naima," she reminded her.

"Yes, you were. The way you two are acting," Naima said looking at James with a smile.

"Paul, the rice," she reminded him silently.

"Oh, sorry, here you go," Paul said handing the bowl of rice to her.

She scooped a small amount of rice and placed it on her plate neatly.

James started his job as soon as she sat in her chair. She's been a little not too sweet at Paul like she's been to him. She was not kind of comfortable when Scotty was carrying her but when it's him, she seems okay with it.

She didn't even talk a lot to Casey, either.

He sighed as he shoved a spoonful of chicken and rice into his mouth.
