Ciara's P.O.V

Hi I'm Ciara, some of my friends call me Cici. And when I say some of my friends I mean my former friends Jaquees, Issa, Trevor, and Jacob. They all are big-time artist. They left me here, they don't even call me. Not since the first day they left. But I'm 17, many kids call me a mut because I'm mixed. I go to The Musical Academy of Chicago, I am a music production major. The only reason I am at this preppy school is because of the chorus class. My teacher Mrs. Foxx is my only "friend" In this world. My personal life is a disaster though. My mom is a lawyer she is never around, and my dad- well I don't know him. I just get a call from him every 3 months. But back to these friends. This is what happened.

Flashback

We were all walking into RCA Records to audition. We were going to sing together, but last minute we decided to sing separately. We all  were talking about all the things we would buy once we got big. The boys were being unrealistic with theirs though.

Jacob : I'm gonna buy my a Bendz with 3 houses. Yes, and I'm gonna buy a whole amusement park to myself

Ciara : Boy we are only 10, well I am

Issa : So what, I'm gonna buy a jet, and some fine hunnies to fly so high with

Trevor : Exactly man. I would just buy me more money

Jaquees : That was so corny. But I would buy my mom a house, then my self 3 cars. I'd save my money after that. What about you Cici?

Ciara : After I bought my mom a house, I would pay to have my father found. Then I would save my money. I might buy some cute fits, but nothing to expensive

We were interrupted by Mama Tish walking up to us saying its showtime. I was last of course. I was gonna sing At Last by Etta James. I walked in and seen the record heads sitting their. I walked up to them and greeted them with my charm. They asked a bunch of questions and then told me to sing. I started singing and I felt myself calming down. When I finished, I walked out and waited to hear the news. We all talked about our auditions, and being the only girl here the boys said I would for sure get sign. Mama Tish came out and she looked a little sad.

Jacob : What's wrong ma

MT: Only four of you made it

Ciara : What, who didn't make it

MT : Baby you didn't, they said you weren't ready yet.

I froze and I felt my eyes started to water. They guys hugged my and told my they were sorry. I congratulate them and ran home. When I got home I ran inside and packed a bag. I ran out to our tree house. When I got there I began crying some more. I wasn't ready. I was In denial. I rehersed everyday. I couldn't see how I wasn't ready. They guys came later yelling my name. I walked out and they hugged me.

Jacob : Don't sweat it. You have other labels

Issa : And you have a dope voice, you will get signed

Trevor : I would switch places if I could

Jaquees : We got you Cici

I looked at them and smiled. They were my bestfriends, nothing could go wrong.

Flashback Over

They signed the contracts and within two weeks they were moving to LA. I saw them off, and they promised to call. It was sweet, it it was something I've come to regret.

But that is the past. Right now I'm going to school. I walk because I live 3 blocks down. It's hard to walk down this street every morning because we all lived right next door to each other, so I see all these memories. As I walk I spot this boy who seemed lost walking backwards reading street signs.
