The next day
I woke up and decided to go play the piano that once belonged to my father that my mom put in the basement. I played unbreak my heart by Toni Braxton (in media). When I was finished I cried a few tears, my "first love" has moved on and there is nothing I can do about it. Just as I wiped my last tear the doorbell rang. I knew it wasn't Kelontae because he had a show in Miami today. I walked to the door and opened it, there stood Romello. He smiled at me.
Romello : Wassup
Ciara : Hey, what are you doing here
Romello : I just came to see you, I was walking and heard the piano. I learned this was your house
Ciara : How
Romello : Kelontae told me. But I didn't know you played
Ciara : A little
Romello : Yea right, that was soooo good ma
Ciara : Thanks
Romello : Umm.. I was wondering if you had plans for tonight
Ciara : Nawh why
Romello : Well I was wondering if you would go to the silver and white ball with me
I honestly had forgotten about the ball. But I did need a date.
Ciara : Sure
Romello : Ight ma, I'll pick you up at 6:30
Ciara : Ight
I closed the door and smirked. Now I just need to find a dress. So I got dressed and went to the mall.
As I walked around the mall I found this dress that I liked. I tried it on and it fit perfectly. When I looked away from the mirror everyone in the store was staring at me say very uplifting comments about how this is the dress for me. I bought the dress and went to the food Court. When I got there Jacob and the gang were in the subway line. So I went to the Chinese food line and ordered a quart of pork lo mein. When I went to pay Jacob walked up and give the man cash, told him to keep the change. He grabbed my dress and we walked to the table.
Lindsey : Hey you, when did you get here
Ciara : Well I came and brought a dress for the silver and white ball tonight
Jaquees : You got a date, I heard its bad luck to go to a ball without a date
Ciara : Actually yes I do
Everyone looked at me. The look of shock filled the table. I ate my lo mein like nothing was wrong. Jacob arched his brows and bit into his sub while still staring at me.
Issa : Who is he
Ciara : You'll see at the ball
Just as I said that this girl came strutting over to the table with a salad bowl in her hand and some voss water in the other. Jacob shook his head when she reached the table and sat next to him.
Girl : Hello I'm Passion and you are
Ciara : Hello, I'm Ciara. I am bestfriends with Jacob, Jaquees, Issa, and Trevor.
She looked at me and smirked. I ignored her and continued to eat my lo mein.
Passion : So, what are we gonna do before we leave Saturday
I choked on my lo mein. I looked at around the table and every was looking at passion with that really nigga face. I grabbed my belongings and ran out of the mall. As I ran I heard my name being called. I ran faster. I got on my street and to my door before I realized I was crying. To be honest I'm pissed. I trusted them again and they were leaving without warning. I opened my door and heard music coming from the basement. I grabbed the gun my mom kept in the hallway closet and walked down slowly. When I made it to the bottom I saw Kelontae playing around with the piano. He saw me with the gun and froze with a smirk on his face.
Kelontae : So you were gonna shoot me. I thought we were friends
Ciara : How did you get in here
Kelontae: Your mom was home and she he let me in, here she gave you some money
Ciara : I thought you were going to Miami today
Kelontae : I was, but then they called and said the event was cancelled
Ciara : Well move over I wanna play
Kelontae : Girl what you know about playing keys
Ciara : Alot
I began playing unbreak my heart again. And the same thing happened the tears kept flowing. As I stopped and cried in my hands, I felt Kelontae hug me and hum hush little baby. I started to laugh with tears still coming. I wiped my face and looked at Kelontae with a smile.
Kelontae : I mean I know I'm good looking but no starring
I straight faced him before we busted out with laughter. When I looked at the time it was 6:00. I ask Kelontae to go home so I can get ready. We hugged and he said he would meet me there. I walked upstairs and started getting ready. Tonight is the night huh.. Here goes nothing
