Today was the audition and I was super nervous. Everyone was telling me just act natural and that i had it. But i felt like i did back then. Like i would give it my all and still be told i wasnt enough. I walked downstair to everyone in the living room watching a video. As i walked pass i heard someone singing. As i looked at the screen it was me. Me at 11 singing home. That was for my elementary school play. I got the part after the boys left. As I listened tears cane to my eyes. That was the day I realized it was only me. And that ppl really did love my voice. That was the day I feel in love with my voice. Jacob took the video out and turned around. When he seen me in tears he froze. Everyone turned around and looked at me.
Jacob : Hey we were ju-
Ciara : Its fine. I forgot all about that day
Issa : Girl how. Thats the song you should sing today. Man that was pure perfection. And you waited until we left to start singing like that
I straight faced him. Everyone started saying their comments. But of course Passion had to ruin the moment. Verses fighting with her I turned on my heels and walked out the room. Keke started laughing which caused everyone else to laugh. Jacob walked behind me and grabbed my hand. I turned and looked at him.
Ciara : Yes
Jacob : I just wanted to tell you that this audition is a no brainer. You got This contract. Dont hold back
Ciara : Oh trust me. I wasnt planning on it. And tell your pet to watch herself. Because i will wipe her music off the charts as i wipe that fucking smirk off her face
He looked at me wide eyed and laughed. I smirked and walked to the car. The driver took me to RCA. I walked in the oh too familiar building, and went to the receptionist. She told me i would be called shortly so i could have a seat.
When i sat down i was debating on taking Issa's advise or sticking with what i rehearsed at home. As I got called out of my thoughts i realized that the receptionist called me to go audition. I prayed and walked. Im determined to walk out of here with a record deal. No more games Ciara. Its game time. I enetered the room and all the record heads looked at me. I tood on the stage infront of the band. I got nervous because we only rehearsed once. But its show time. I gave the que and prayed this ended right. Here goes nothing
After we finished i opened my eyes and seen them all starring at me. The CEO of RCA just had a look of sadness on his face. He then smiled and started clapping. They all did shortly after. I bowed and took my seat.
CEO: All that is left to say is.......Now your ready. Heres your contract. Welcome to RCA
Ciara : THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH
I signed it after reading it and i ran out in the hallway screaming to the top of my lungs. I called kelontae and we started screaming and shouting. Man he was more happy than me. I facetimed him and seen he was in the studio. He told me to stay quite and i listened to him sing. He is so great man. He would occasionally look at me. And id smile. I got home and went straight in my room. And got ready for bed. I got comfortable and seen Kelontae was leaving the studio. He told me hold on. When i seen hebwas walking home i waited. When he got jmhome we talked night. I told how i wanted to give him a chance abd that made his day. Wow i got a record deal and a boyfriend in the same day. He feel asleep so i laid the phone next to me and wentbto sleep too
