A Rebel and A Athlete (Part 1)-
Fionna ran the last lap for today, and paused at the end of the track field out of breath. Her body was sweating bullets and she was tired from the activities she had been doing since the early afternoon.
She walked slowly to the bench and sat down, completely exhausted she laid her head back and rested. It wasn't a minute later that she felt something cold touch her cheek, Fionna squirmed in surprise and opened her alert eyes.
A pair of dark mocha eyes came into view, a tall handsome teenager was standing infront of her, holding in his hand a water bottle. His lips tugged into a smirk as he noted her expression and he giggled. It wasn't a simple giggle, it resulted into a huge fit of laughter.
Fionna stared in irritation at her childhood friend, who was still currently laughing his ass off. She arched an eyebrow up at his reaction, waiting for him to finish.
"Hahaa," he continued apparently he wasn't going to let this go easily, so Fionna gripped her hand into a fist and charged. But instead of landing a straight punch at the dark haired boy, she missed him by only five centimeters.
"Oh no you don't," he smiled mischievously as he avoided another punch sent his way. Fionna smiled at the competition, she was really frustrated since the morning and it was nice to finally get something worth feeling exhausted over.
"Wow Fionna, why so mad?" Marshall asked in curiosity, he had never seen her so upset and troubled. It somehow annoyed him that he wasn't the one who caused it but whatever, its Fionna we're talking about she gets mad easily.
"I'm not mad," she denied as she stopped and inhaled like if she was breathless. Marshall went to the bench and sat down grabbing the red Coca-Cola drink he had gotten earlier. He opened it and began to drink the cold ice drink waiting for her to sit down. "Then that pretty little frown on your face is just there for decoration," he shrugged as he took another sip and swallowed.
"If you saw the person you like flirting with someone, is it normal to get pissed off?" Fionna asked with an irritated tone.
"Pfftt," Marshall had to cover his mouth to stop the laughter, and avoided her heated glare.
"What's so funny, Marshall?" She arched an eyebrow up.
"Nothing," he shaked his hand up and down and relaxed against the bench. The warm sun was nothing but a faint glow now, it was easy for him to see the soft clouds float around. "Anyways, I guess it's not strange to get mad over that guy, just because he was 'flirting' with someone," he answered going back to the topic in hand. "It's normal for a teenager to feel jealousy,"
"Really?" She turned slightly to stare at him and he nodded in response. His black bangs blew over his face as a gust of wind suddenly came in, he smiled as Fionna's bangs were also getting in her vision.
Marshall reached to help her put the bang back over her ear, but when he touched her hair he paused. When was it the last time her hair felt so silky and light? His fingers stroked the hair strand, and for some reason he felt something warm in his chest.
"Marshall?"
When he looked down to meet her light sapphire eyes, he couldn't help but notice she was too close. It wasn't supposed to be a big deal since he has touched her and fought with her before, but somehow she wasn't that little pipsqueak as before.
"Hey, Marshall? You there?" She asked as she waved her hand up and down in front of his face.
He snapped out of the spell she had him in, and took a step back his eyes avoiding hers. He was getting annoyed by the effect she had on him, he shook his head and glanced back at her.
