Chapter three : two words collide

**two months later **

Nicki POV

I'm sitting down putting on my shoes getting ready for our first game.

I saw Emily coming me and zaira's way

" you guys nervous ?? "

Me and zaira both shook our head yes.

" we'll if y'all two play like you do in practice it will be good come on let's go the game is about to start "

The game is tied at 2 with only a minute left Emily passes me the ball I pass two of the other players turn around another one and shoot the goal and the whistle goes .

Zaira runs to me and jumps on me and I fell on the ground .

Coach ally came and we all gathered in a circle .

" that was a great team effort for our first game this year where going all the way "

We all went our different ways after the game zaira had to go to a extra class since she is having some problems .

I stay on the field and keep on practicing .

Marcus POV

I walk pass the field and I see her practicing I heard they just won there game so why is she practicing . I couldn't get this girl out of my mind there was something about this girl .

I jog on the field .

Nicki POV

I see this tall guy with dreads he kindah looks like Issa Thompson but more muscle running my way .

he is kinda cute

" hey " he said

" hi "

" why are u on the field didn't u guys just win "

" we'll yeah but practice makes perfect and I don't have nothing to do "

" want to come to my dorm "

Who does he think he is . Just because he's cute doesn't mean he can walk up to any girl and invite them to his room

" I didn't mean it like what I mean since u have nothing to do u can come to my dorm and we can just hang out "

" I don't even know you "

I get up and walk to the showers and then to my dorm

** dorm room **

I was reading a book then I heard a knock and I thought zaira forgot her key .

" did you forget your key again "

And he was standing there again

I took and closed the door but it was stopped by his hand.

" get out before I call a teacher or something "

" just let me talk to you "

I open the door for him to come and he sits down and makes him self at home and I'm getting really upset .

" soo ?? " I say aggravated

" okay well remember the day you walked in to me .i Couldn't get you out of my mined its been over two months and I was wondering if you would go out with me tonight or do u have something to do "

" I don't know what to say I thought u was with Jessica "

" its the begging of the school year and every one thinks I'm with her like the school year has just begin and no I'm not with her she is so fake .can I at least get your number "

" sure "

I give him my number and he leaves and I think to myself is this a joke or something.

Marcus POV

I have never had a girl refuse a date with me.

I was walking to my dorm and was stopped by Ron .

" hey bra "

We did our handshake and we started to walk to my dorm room his room wasn't far from mine .

"Hey Marcus u want to go get some cheerleaders " at times I don't understand what is really that great about cheerleaders beside that they are super easy . I like to be the chaser not the chased

" nah I'm good " I open my door and we walk in .

" come on this isn't the same dude I know from high school "

" maybe I crew up "

He sat next to me on the bed and I took something to drink .

" so what really up bro " he look at me in the face

" it's a girl " never have I liked a girl so much that I barely knew

" is it Megan that hot cheerleader no it's the gymnastic head captain"

" noo " I say not wanting to tell him

" who is it " he looked at me straight in the eye

" it's that soccer girl " I said soft not wanting to hear his do comment

This is why I don't tell anyone anything they don't get me and everyone that understood me I took for granted like Andy . Hell neven my parents understand me .

" calm down just remember soccer chicks are strange and she is ugly " and then he walked out

** basket ball court **

I kept on shooting hoops to get my mined off of life and the stress of today and then my ball roles away .

Jennifer POV

Walking to get my regular money per month from my parents I see a basketball Rowling my way .

I pick it up and walk to the basketball court to fined the same guy from this morning walking my way I toss the ball to him and walk away

He came ruining my way

" hey " he said with a huge bright white smile

" hii " I said direly

" I didn't get your name earlier my name is Marcus " he stuck out his hand and I shook it

" my name is nicki " isn't he a football player

" why are you playing basket ball don't u play football " I said sitting next to him on the court floor

" yeah but I love basket ball and I'm way better at it but my mom and dad want me to play football so I just do what they say "

I look at his green eyes and I don't see a player or a toff guy I see a guy that is lost in his own world .

I get up and start to walk to get my money but before I leave I turn and tell him

" we'll I will love to see u as a basketball player " and with that I walked away

Marcus POV

I just look at her and got to my dorm room in my dorm room lie down and think off her and drift off to sleep in thought.
