Chapter 3
Never in a millions years did I think I would be getting ready to go to a new school. I've never really been put in a position like this. I've heard a lot of stories about what happens when your the new student. You get shoved around and made fun of.
My first day was a little crazy. Not only am I sitting in the principles office right now, but I also have corn falling from my hair and a whining blonde bimbo sitting beside me.
*That Morning*
"Yo, Auds, come on and get up, we have school in an hour" Tyler said from the side of my bed. i opened my right eye to see him leaning over with a smile on his face. He was still in his pjs and had a toothbrush sticking out of his mouth.
I sat up and threw my blankets off the bed while watching Tyler walk out of my room shutting the door behind him. Soon after I was already out of the shower and brushing my teeth.
I walked out of the joining bathroom and looked into my closet. Yesterday I had went out with Laura and bought me a whole new wardrobe for school. Deciding to wear black skinny jeans with a teal colored oversized sweater, I quickly slid everything on. I ran into the bathroom and put on some light makeup. Then I curled my brown hair into loose curls.
Looking at myself in the mirror, I smiled and then ran out the room to put my shoes on. I slipped on my brown boots and grabbed my bag that held all my school supplies before running downstairs. Tyler was waiting at the bottom of the steps dressed in khaki skinny jeans and a red plaid button up shirt with the sleeves rolled to his elbows.
He was tossing around an apple in one hand and spinning car keys in the other.
"Were running a little late," he started while tossing the apple at me, "eat this in the car."
I watched as he picked up his bag from the ground and went out the front door. Following quietly behind him, I watched as he unlocked the car and hopped in to the front seat.
I opened the passenger door and slid into the seat, laying my bag at my feet.
"So," I started off taking a bite of my apple, "Tell me about this school of yours."
Tyler and I had became close these last couple days. After i started to lighten up the night he took me out to show me around time we had a great time. He took me laser bowling instead of showing me were everything was cause, in his words, "Yolo". Beside his stupid pranks and childish behavior, we are alike in many ways and I guess that is a reason we hit it off so quickly.
"Well, Its just like every school. Were big on football though. Our team is called the Bulldogs. My cousin goes to the rival school. Their the Tornadoes. If you want to fit in at Tazewell High then I suggest you start learning the art of ball."
I just rolled my eyes and looked out the window. Typical. Isn't every school engrossed with Football nowadays?
We pulled into the schools parking lot and parked in what I'm guessing is the Juniors side since Tyler was a junior.
Saying the school was big would be an understatement. It was huge. It looked to be three stories and to the right had a huge football field.
My old school was only two stories and we had to share the football field with the middle school down the road.
I followed behind Tyler since I had no idea where to go. I waited patiently as he greeted his group of friends and then turned around to introduce me.
"Guys, this is Audrey, she is new here and will be living with me from now on." Tyler told his three friends while he slung an arm over my shoulder.
A tall blonde hair boy walked forward and extended his hand, "I'm Cole, Nice to meet you." I quickly shook his hand and turned towards Tyler.
"Will you point me to the office, I need to get my schedule and get to my first class." I asked him slinging my bag further up my shoulder.
"Just walk through the front door and you should see it on your left." he responded back.
I mumbled a thank you and then walked toward the front doors.
I immediately saw the office to my left and began walking toward it.
When i was about to push the door open I felt a bump hit my shoulder and it sent my bag to the ground, Looking up i saw a girl looking at me with humor in her eyes. She let out a low giggle before walking away with her friends. Rude.
I grabbed my bag up and walked into the office. As soon as I saw the receptionist I asked for my schedule and went to find my first period class.
First I had Chemistry. The class went by pretty fast. Mr. Boyce just went over the rules and what we would be doing this year and handed out books. My second class was AP English. Mrs. Etter wasted no time and got us started on a two page essay about what books we would like to read in class and why. My third class was AP History. Mr. Angles spent most the class period telling lame jokes and issuing out books. My fourth class was gym. Mrs. Richardson just gave us our locker combination and introduced herself. Then I had lunch.
Lunch is where everything happened. If it wasn't for what happen i would have gone to my AP Calculus class and then proceeded to study hall, but I knew today was not going to go as planned.
I soon as I got to the lunch room I cursed myself for not waking up early enough to pack my lunch. The lunch line was long and crowded. I made a mental reminder to pack my lunch from now on as I waited in the back of the line.
Ten minutes later I was were you get your tray when I took a glance at the door and saw the same girl who knocked over my bag walk in. She had long blonde hair and was wearing a pink sundress. She looked the definition of beautiful. But there was something off about her. She seemed almost menacing.
I directed my gaze to the lunch lady in front of me and smiled when she sat a Pb&j sandwich on my tray. I then grabbed a chocolate cake off the bar and a bottled water. I quickly paid for my lunched.
'When I turned around I was stopped by a wall. My tray smashed into the wall causing my chocolate cake smear all over it. But I soon found out that it wasn't a wall my chocolate cake was on. Walls don't let out high pitched screeching sounds.
Nope, this wall was the girl. The girl that knocked my bag over.
Just when I stepped forward to apologize I heard someone scream out, "Food Fight!"
And that's where it all went crazy.
