Chapter 2
Every family has a different way of lifestyle. Back in South Carolina when we ate dinner, we normally crowded around the living room coffee table and watched the newest movie.
Well, of course before everything that happened.
Here in California, I realized it was going to be different. Not only was I looking at a huge dinning room table, but there was also no reassuring talking of the actors trying to work out their problems.
Instead, it was Mr. Greg Crouse seated at the end of the long table in a black suit, which in my opinion made him look like he just out of a court case. Laura was seated on the right of him dressed in the same clothes she had picked me up in.
They were talking in hushed tones until I walked over to Mr. Crouse's left and cleared my throat waiting for further instructions on where to sit.
"Audrey sweetie, I would like you to meet my husband, Greg" Laura told me while she glanced nervously around the dining room.
I got a worried feeling. What was wrong? Why was she so nervous?
"Um, hello," I nodded my head in a polite way before turning my attention back to Laura. "Didn't you also say you had a son, named Tyler?"
She looked up at me and chuckled nervously, "Ah, yes. He is somewhere around here. Listen, Aubrey, before you meet Tyler," she said while i began to sit down in the chair to Mr. Crouse's left, 'I just want you to know that he-"
She didn't have time to finish. The next thing I knew I was lying under the kitchen table and someone was laughing from the French doors.
"Tyler! What did I tell you about pranking people like that! Especially our guest!" I heard Greg yell at who I assumed was this Tyler dude.
"She's not our guest dad, you said she was moving in with us for the rest of the school year. Guest don't stay that long."
What the heck? We're they just going to talk like I wasn't here laying on the floor.
I let out an awkward gasp from under the table trying to grab anyone's attention.
"Oh dear! Audrey! Let me help you!" Laura grabbed my hand and helped me standing up.
I felt her hands grasp my forearms before looking me up and down and the staring intensely in my eyes. "Are you hurt? Did you break or bruise anything? Oh god, I'm so sorry! Tyler is quite the jokester! I should of known he was going to do something! Of course I didn't realize he would unscrew the bolts on your chair and then-"
I slapped my hand over her mouth and giggled quietly. "I'm fine, just scared me. Honestly."
When I took my hand off her mouth she sent me a little grin before pulling another chair over and putting it in the spot of the "defected" chair.
I slowly say down this time making sure that this chair wasn't tampered with.
"Um, Audrey this is our son Tyler." Greg said while glancing over at the boy leaning against the wall beside of the doorway.
I turned my eyes to get a good look at Tyler. He was wearing dark blue skinny jeans with a plaid button up shirt. He had brown hair that rested right above his eyebrows and light brown eyes. He also had a mischievous smile across his face. He looked around 16. But stilled stood taller than me.
I nodded my head, and turned back around looking at Laura.
After the whole mishap before dinner, we all ate in silence. Laura had prepare us Chicken Parmesan with a side salad. I felt terrible when I had to shoot down the Chicken Parmesan because I'm a vegetarian. But Laura didn't know that.
I had offered nicely to help with dishes but Laura insisted that Tyler take me out and show me around town. I told her it wasn't necessary but she was dead set.
And that is now why I'm stuck in a Range Rover with no other than Tyler.
"So, how old are you?" Tyler asked while sneaking a glance over to me.
I just simply snuck a peak at him before looking back out the window.
"Okay then, what grade are you in?" He tried for a second time.
Again I just stared out the window.
This kid was really annoying. Doesn't he get the hint that I don't like to talk.
"To bad you don't talk, because you're hot and we couldn't of been something" He said while lightly putting his hand on my knee.
That's it.
"Yeah, well to bad I'm not interested!" I yelled.
Tyler started to uncontrollably laughed while sneaking looks at me. He drawed back his hand and put it back on the steering wheel.
That douche!
"You did that in purpose to make me talk." I said while glaring at the side of his head.
"yeah, someone had to do it. I'm not a big fan on silence" Tyler said sending me a small smirk.
"I'm not a big fan of falling out of seats either but not everyone gets what they want." I told her sternly before looking back out the window.
"Damn, for a cute little girl who doesn't talk a lot you sure are feisty." He said while flicking my forehead.
I rolled my eyes at him and then giggled, "I'm eighteen and a senior".
He looked over at me and smiled.
"Now were getting somewhere, I'm 16 and a junior."
***************
I just wanted to introduce an important character. No, he isn't a love interest for Audrey. More like a brother/bestfriend type of character. But he is important.
Also, I have half the cast picked out. Josie Loran will be playing Aubrey. And Jake T. Austin is playing Tyler.
As soon as I get my wifi back up and I can use my laptop I will post pictures of them. But for now tell me how you like the story. I want a little bit of feed back. Pleaaaaaase
This chapter is kinda short. I just wanted to upload something.
For me to upload the next chapter, I at least want one comment or vote, just to know that someone is reading this and I'm not talking to myself.
AGAIN,
Vote, Fan (follow), and comment.
Ps. If anyone knows any interesting stories here on wattpad that would be interesting to read then post it on my wall. I would love to know some opinions.
