My heel tapped the floor as my leg bounced. The squeaky clean walls were a legit eye-sore for me, and I felt nauseated by the sight. My nose burned with the smell of dull medicine. We were waiting in the partially empty waiting room, with other worried or sick bystanders.

"Jade Roy." Doctor Garrett called out. Kelani, Davey, and I shot out of our seats.

My heart was pounding loudly in my ears. "H-how is she, d-doctor?" The words stumbled out of my tongue clumsily. I fidgeted with my fingers, waiting for his answer.

"Well, she's in a coma, Mr. Crudor. She has minor internal bleeding, but she's stable now." Doctor Garrett stated, glancing at each of us.

"When will she wake up?" Kelani inquired, a hopeful tone in her voice.

"We can't be certain. It may be days or weeks. I'm sorry, but there's not much we can do except wait."

"Can we see her, please?" I pleaded.

He nodded and silently led us down a hall. We soon stopped in front of the room. The windowed showed everything I had to see. She laid on the bed on her back, wearing a pale blue hospital gown. It covered some of her wounds, but I could the cut above her jugular and the marks of the belt on her neck.
Doctor Garrett opened the door for us and let us in. I quickly walked to her side, biting my bottom lip in anger. Everything that happened, happened inside the mansion. He didn't even leave; he was under our fucking noses, torturing Jade out of pure enjoyment. And to piss me off, of course.

"I should have kicked Felix out the moment mom left." I growled, more to myself than the others. I looked down and saw my fists clenched so hard that my knuckles were turning white.

"Don't you fucking blame yourself, Victor." Kelani snapped at me. I quickly turned around, raising my eyebrow. Her dark brown eyes were red, and perking with tears. "Don't blame yourself because you know it's not your fault..." She whispered, her voice cracking.

I shook my head and took a seat beside Jade's right side of the bed. If I objected to her, we'd just be yelling at each other about how I'm wrong and she's right...according to her.

"You guys can head back to the mansion. See if John or Ian found something."

Davey and Kelani looked at each other skeptically.

"Go." I ordered.

Davey sighed and softly grabbed Kelani's hand, leading her out of the room. I sighed and took Jade's cold hand, pressing my lips against her knuckles. "I'm so sorry..." I whispered softly, closing my eyes tight. The video's events flashed through my mind; it was as if I could hear Jade's screams right next to my ears until they started ringing. "Fuck...I'm so-orry..." My voice quivered and my hands shook. Her cold skin made me think she was dead, but the slow beeping of her old monitor was the only thing that gave me hope that she was still here. My eyes started burning and I sniffled softly. Wiping the warm tears, I sat back on the chair, placing Jade's hand back down. I should have known; I found it unusual that Jade took time off her free day to "meditate". I should have done something about Felix, he's always been trouble since the day he was born.

This is a new kind of fucked up...I thought, running my thumb over my lips. I have no idea of how Jade will react when she wakes up. She's basically gone through the nine levels of hell in only a few hours, according to the video.

If I find Felix, I'll make sure to do the same to him.
