Jack was cuddled up on the couch, cuddling Mark, whereas he was telling the police what had happened. There was detectives upstairs taking photographs and carrying out policey stuff.

"Will you be alright here?"

Jack quickly shook his head at the officers question.

"Do you have anyone you can stay with."

"Yes. Do you recommend we go to live with them?"

Mark answered.

"That is advised for a few weeks until things have died down"

Mark nodded, the officer gave a friendly wink and got up to leave, but first he gave Mark a card.

"Call this number if there's any trouble anything suspicious at all."

"Will do, have a good evening."

The officer tipped his hat to Mark and walked out the door with his companions.

~~~
"Jack are you ready to go?"
There was no answer, Jack was upstairs supposedly packing his bags, ready to leave for the station.
"Jack??"
Mark sighed. He loved Jack, he really did, it's just he'd love a bit more cooperation. He put down the food bags he was holding and walked upstairs.
"Jack....?"
He gently pushed open the door and saw Jack sat on the floor, his bag packed, but he was staring at the wall where the intruder left the hateful message. Mark sighed sympathetically.
"Come on Jack. We need to go down to the police station, we're staying in their safe house for two weeks."
Jack nodded and stood up. He lazily grabbed his bag and walked straight passed Mark.
"Jack what's the matter?"
Jack rolled his eyes, dropped his bag and snapped at Mark.
"Oh what do ye think is the matter Mark! I'm sick of always running from something, always hiding!"
"Jack i-"
"No Mark. Just don't. I'm not going. I'm staying here."
"Fine."
Mark threw his bag down and folded his arms.
"Why can't we have normal lives Mark... Its like this is a story and someone is writing it to be this way just to make it interesting for others."
"Well what fun would it be it our lives were normal?"
"More fun than this because we could spend proper time together."
"Oh Jack..."
Mark stepped forward to give Jack a hug but he stepped backwards, out the bedroom door and towards the stairs.
"No Mark. I don't want sympathy. I just want normal lives is that too much to ask?"
Jack turned to go down the stairs, not knowing he was already on the edge. He lost his footing and tipped, he was about to go flying down the stairs but he felt a strong pull on his arm, stopping him from falling. He looked down the stairs for a bit then looked up to see Mark, one arm on the banister, supporting both him and Jack. The other was connected to Jack, so he wouldn't fall. Mark looked at Jack with a sad smile on his face, before pulling him up.
"T-thank ye Mark...."
"Its fine. Be more careful next time you try to fly OK?"
Jack nodded.
"So... Are yo- are we staying here?"
Mark asked.
"Ye can go if you wish.... But I'm not scared of whoever this is... YE HEAR ME YE BASTERD!?!? IM NOT SCARED!!!"
Mark smiled at Jack when he started to shout at nothing.
"Are you sure your not scared Jack? Because if that's true then I'll go"
Jack bit his lip then jumped into a Mark hug.
"N-no it's OK ye can stay... I am scared really... Please don't leave me alone."
Mark chuckled and carried Jack into the spare room and layed him out onto the bed.
"I'm not going anywhere. I promise."
Mark smirked and decided to lighten the mood with a classic tickle fight. Still smirking Mark snaked his hands up Jacks top. Jack had a confused smile on his face.
"What are ye doing Mark?
"Tickling you"
Jack's eyes widened for a second before Mark beganbto viciously tickle Jacks sides making him laugh uncontrollably.
"M-m-mark staaaahhhppp!!"
"Why don't you make me!"
Now it was Jack's turn to smirk. He knew exactly how to make Mark stop: to tease him. Its a good job Jack was good at it.
"Marrrrrkkk"
That voice got him every time.
"Yes my little Jackaboy?"
"I want to tell ye something."
The plan was working, Mark was falling for it. He leaned down closer to Jack
"And what would that be?"
Jack's teasing face suddenly turned to a playful one.
"Tag yar it!"
Jack pushed Mark off the side of the bed and ran for it giggling like a school girl.
"IMA COMING JACKABOY!"
Marks loud booming voice called. He stopped. Jack was obviously hiding somewhere.
"Hmm.... Come out come out wherever you are!"
Mark suddenly caught a glimpse of Jack run into a different room, galloping on his gazelle legs. Mark charged, caught Jack and swung him around laughing.
"Ye stoop!"
"Always!"
They both calmed down.
"And you say we don't do things."
Jack giggled and stuck out his tongue.
"Whatever"
Jack yawned.
"Let's go to bed. I'm tired"
"I am a bit too Jack."
They both walked down the corridor. They don't go into their bedroom anymore so they sleep in the spare room. After they were both inside Mark locked the door and the Windows while Jack checked under the bed and in the closet like a small child.
"Well that's us safe for tonight."
Jack nodded, stripped down to into his boxers and went searching for PJs. Mark, who was already in boxers pulled Jack into bed and covered him with the duvet.
"Mark I need PJs."
"Nah you don't."
"But I get cold"
Jack pouted and Mark smothered him in a comforting hug which made him feel safe and secure. He tucked the duvet around Jack rendering him immobile due to Mark the the duvet.
"Thank ye Mark.. Nighty night."
"Uh excuse me Jackaboy."
"What?"
"Where's ma kissssssss"
Mark said proudly. Jack smirked.
"Here"
Mark raised one eyebrow while Jack pressed his lips against Mark's. For a couple of minutes, they shared a long, healthy and passionate kiss.
"That's more like it."
Mark and Jack both had a goody smile on their faces, high on each others intoxicating kiss.
"Ye silly."
