Children (A Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue fanfic)

Chapter 21

A few months later...

Danny's P.O.V

I'm just sitting down writing a song when I hear Jessie scream. Eli, Vic and Jade are at school and Amelia is at pre-school, so it's just me, Jessie and Leigh in the house.
I stand up and rush to Jessie.
"Baby" she says and I can automatically tell she means she's going to have the child. She decided she didn't want to know which gender it was because she wanted it to be a surprise. I helped her walk to the at and sat her down, then I went back inside to get Leigh.

Eventually, we arrived at the hospital. Jessie was taken away and I stayed with Leigh. It's crazy to think that Leigh is my granddaughter and I'm only thirty-five! (A/N he may be a different age but it works with the story).

"Excuse me, are you Danny?" A doctor person says to me. I nod. "Jessie would like to see you. She says to bring Leigh." I nod and follow the doctor through some hallwafs to the delivery room. I walk in and see Jessie sitting on the bed holding a baby boy. I smile.
"Danny, this is Luke," she says, gazing down at the baby.
"Hi, Luke," I smile. I walk over to her, sitting next to her. I gently put my hand on the top of his head, stroking his forehead. His little cheeks are brought red and the small amount of hair on his head is quite dark, the same colour as Jessie's long, beautiful hair. Jessie looks up at me, aiming. I lean down and kiss her ruby red lips.

I hold Leigh up to him
"Leigh, this is Luke, you... sort of... step-nephiew," I laugh. Leigh reaches out a hand and grabs Luke's hand. She smiles and I'm sure I can see Luke's face twitch like he's trying to smile. Of course, he can't physically smile, but it looks like he's smiling.

"Call Jade," Jessie suggests. I nodded, taking out my phone and scrolling through to Jade's contact. I click on it and hold the phone up to my ear.

Jade's P.O.V

I'm in the middle of class when I hear my phone ringing. All eyes turn to me (including the teacher's) and the teacher stops talking. I take out my phone and see that it's my Dad. It must be important, he never calls me while I'm at school.
"May I answer it?" I politely ask the teacher. He nods. I thank him and walk outside into the hallway with my phone.

Hello?
Jade, thank God! Jessie's had the baby boy!
Oh my God! I'll get Eli, Vic and Amelia then I'll be right there!
Ok, see you in a few minutes!

Well, that was the shortest phone call ever! I ran back into the classroom and pick up my bag and all my stuff.
"Sorry, gotta go!" I say to the teacher.
"Why?" He stops me.
"My Dad's girlfriend's just had a baby." I pretty much shout, leaving the room. I run out of reception and go to the junior school that Eli and Vic go to, which is a cross the road. I run into their class.

"Eli, Vic, you have a brother!" I smile. They both look at each other then stand up, grabbing their bags and other stuff. We run out of reception at their school and then go next door to the adjoining pre-school and infant school. We run to the pre-school part and find Amelia's class. Amelia is sitting on the carpet with the rest of the children playing 'eye spy'.

"Amelia, Jessie's had a little baby!" Vic exclaims and Amelia groans.
"Another baby!" She says. I can tell she's trying to be all grown up. I walk over to her and pick her up. One of the teachers hands Eli Amelia's school bag with everything in it. We leave the building and call a taxi which takes us to the hospital.

Once we arrive, we are shown to a room where we see Jessie sitting up on a hospital bed holding a little baby boy. Dad is perched on the side of the bed with arm around Jessie. He's holding Leigh with his other arm.

"Hi Jade," Jessie says, looking up, "Hi Eli, Vic and Amelia."
We smile and Amelia rushes over to my Dad, grabbing onto his leg. He laughs. I walk over to him and he hands me my daughter.
"Hey, my baby girl," I smile, kissing her forehead. She smiles. Eli and Vic walk over to Jessie, around the other side of the bed, and they both smile.
"I have a brother!" Eli exclaims. Jessie laughs a little.
"His name is Luke William O'Donoghue," she says. She looks at Vic and Eli, "Do you wanna hold him?" She asks. E
Vic nods, smiling. She passes Luke to Vic and smiles.
"Hello, baby Luke!" she cooeys.
