It was a few days before I could leave the hospital bed, my accelerated healing had indeed been impaired by the vampire venom in my attackers system.

Apparently if the venom was passed on by a bite it hindered some of our abilities, such as healing. But if the wolf ingested the venom by drinking the vampire's blood, it boosted both abilities and strength...

I pondered this as I sat at the large dining table, placed in a room adjacent to the kitchen, where the usual kitchen banter could be heard. Pots and pans clanging together, sizzling and good natured talk of the females doing the cooking.

Thinking back to my release from the hospital room a few hours ago I pondered on the morning's progression. A young female, maybe 16 years of age had been waiting to whisk me away to my chambers, as she put it. I had been expecting a simple bedroom, but apparently in this pack, that was not enough for a future Luna...

I remember her telling me her name was Sarah, she was a frail looking girl, pale skin and light blue eyes, a dusting of freckles over her nose and thin lips. I couldn't help but think she looked weaker than I expected the females of such a large pack to look. Her body was lean, almost too skinny. It made me curious, even more so because she had a submissive air about her, head downcast, eyes darting around as if nervous, but she was pleasant enough so I shrugged it off and followed her down a narrow corridor that headed east.

She stopped abruptly in front of a large set of cedar doors, making me nearly collide with her as I took in the intricate designs of the pillars along the hallway.

Taking a large key from her back pocket and unlocking the door she stepped aside and gestured for me to enter. I felt a flutter in my stomach as I stepped through the door which revealed a large room, covered by a dome like ceiling and surrounded by 4 arches, which in turn lead to 4 different rooms, each one just begging to be explored. As the rest of the house, everything was wood, the furniture had a rustic look to it, almost Celtic style, covered in rich looking fabrics and cushions.

The decorations were simple, shades of red and beige blended in to the wood. In the center was a large sitting area, a huge book case standing against the only solid wall. I guess when they built this place they didn't really think the occupant would need privacy between the rooms...

This thought caused a chuckle to escape from my lips, which resulted in a startled squeak from Sarah who had been standing quietly behind me. I mumbled an apology before scurrying off to inspect the arch closest to me. As I entered, I saw a large desk and office furnishings, more books stacked against the walls and two large leather couches facing each other, with a small coffee table between them. One of the walls was covered with a large map, I assumed the red markings were meant to limit the Moon Blood packs domain. Making a mental note to inspect it more later on, I pushed back the gnawing thought in my mind about why on earth I would need an office and a pack territory map in my...home? Room? Quarters?

With a shake of my head I made my way to the next room, this one lead in to a large bedroom, which in turn had three doors leading off from it, in the bedroom there was a large red vanity and a king sized bed, made of a dark wood I did not recognize and dressed in red satin...I raised an eyebrow and chuckled, thinking back to cheesy erotic novels I had read that usually included red satin sheets. As I moved towards one of the doors I thought I heard the sound of water running but figured it was in a room nearby. Opening the door it revealed a large closet, full of brand new clothes from what I could see. I was instantly entranced as I brushed my fingers against the soft fabrics and marveled at the rack of shoes leaning against one of the walls. I had to remind myself not to skip as I headed back out the door and faced Sarah, an excited flush in my cheeks, wanting to ask her if that was all really mine. It was then that I noticed her face. Her very, very red face, staring wide eyed at something just behind me. I turned with a confused frown only to find my face heating up and my jaw dropping.
