So this is what it’s like to love you

BoyxBoy

I watch as we leave what I've come to know as home, the only thing close to home anyway and now that my mother died I had to go and live with foster parents, I didn’t like the idea and I asked if I could stay with a relative but apparently they didn’t think any of them were fit enough to take care of me. So I just continued to stare out the window thinking if my mum is well for wherever she is resting and a tear rolls down my cheek just to think of her, I'm only sixteen and I lost my dad to cancer when I was only eleven and that was painful enough as it was now I'm also without a mother. The driver named David but preferred Dave must’ve seen the stray tear because he was looking worriedly at me from the rear-view mirror, so I just smiled faintly and he gave me a sympathetic look which I ignored for I didn’t need their sympathy otherwise I would cry and I couldn’t afford that, not here.

It started raining lightly and a song came on the radio which suited perfectly with my mood and the weather.

Sometimes love feels like pain

And sometimes I wonder if it’s all the same

Sometimes life feels just like rain

Cause you never know when it’s gonna fall down on you

I wish you well, I wish you well

On this trip to find yourself

I wish you well

Wish I could help

But I can’t help you find yourself

It was then that I wished that my iPod hadn’t gone flat, music had always calmed me down and I don’t usually like radio music it’s so… bleah with it always repeating songs up to five times.  I realised that the car had stop and I looked out the window and my eyes swept across a two-storied house, There was a Victorian style porch and there were white roses everywhere, there was a smooth concrete tiled path that curved around and trees hung over it yet not one leaf or petal was littered on it, the colour was of a iced coffee colour and it didn’t look that bad it was quite elegant.

I got out the car and David helped me with my luggage and the people in charge of assigning children to their foster parents also got out but went up to the house where a young woman around 37 was waiting on the steps of the porch. “Hey kid, take it easy” Dave said to me and I nodded not sure what to do but nod, he patted my back and I grabbed my suitcase and slung the backpack over my shoulder and headed towards the woman who I guessed would be my foster mum. On the way I counted each tile and admired all the foliage and nature surrounding me until I stood at where the two adults were talking, they noticed me and I let out a sigh relaxing my nerves as much as I could “This is Kalil, the child you will be taking care of” I waved hi when the creepy dude introduced me and the woman smiled softly and introduced herself “My name Is Jane, it’s nice to meet you” Jane said in such a tingly voice that it made her sound too nice for her own good.
