Ciel and I shared jokes and laughs as we made our way to the jewelry store that was a few blocks away from Nina's tailor shop.
Ciel opened the jewelry store for me. Aw what a gentleman. I gave him a smile in thanks. He smiled back. We entered the store and were met with hundreds of different kinds of jewelry. My eyes widened in awe. I admired the different colored diamond necklaces and earrings. Bracelets and watches of every type of metal and leather filled my eye sight. So pretty.
I shook my head in protest of my thoughts of buying everything in the whole store. I mean it's a girl's dream to have every beautiful piece of jewelry there is. If it's not jewelry then is clothes or shoes. Am I right ladies?
I glided across the displays of jewelry, in search for the rings. Watches, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings. Bingo.
I ran my finger down the rows of rings. Sterling silver, gold, bronze, and some black rings were displayed. The rings were separated in four groups. Everyday wear rings, engagement rings, wedding rings, and promise rings. Yay.
My eye came across a sapphire diamond ring. It was a round cut sapphire diamond on a sterling silver band. The diamond was small but that's what made the ring cute. There were smaller, white diamond accents on each side of the slightly larger sapphire diamond. Cute but simple. Lizzie will love it because it's obviously cute and it'll remind her of Ciel's eye color. Perfect.
"Did you find one?" Ciel's voice snapped me out of staring at the ring. I looked at him and smiled.
"Yeah." I pointed to the ring that I was looking at. Ciel gave me a 'really?' look. "She'll love it." I whined. He just gave a chuckle and shook his head.
He then called for the shopkeeper. He had shaggy, dirty blond hair. He also had soft amber eyes that went adorably with the freckles that littered his pale face. Apparently his name was Charles, based on the name tag that was clipped onto his blue collared shirt that was tucked into black trousers which were held up by a black leather belt. His feet adorned shiny, black dress shoes. He gave us a kind smile, showing his pearly whites, making me blush a bit and look away.
"How may I help you today?" He greeted. I almost squealed. Accents! He had an Italian accent!! Dear lord save my soul!
"Yes actually we need that sapphire promise ring right there." Ciel gestured to the ring I told him about. Charles grabbed the ring off the display and set it in my hand. His hands were so soft. Squuueeeee. A breath got stuck in my throat. Please don't do that to me Charles.
Ciel then got the ring out of my hand and put it on my ring finger. I blushed even more. What is he doing?
"Does it fit?" Ciel asked. The tone in his voice had gotten softer and lower than usual. Why? I nodded my head. "We'll take this one please." He put emphasis on 'we.' Again why?
"Understood sir. That'll be 215.53 pounds." ($299 us dollar) Charles answered in monotone. His once happy and joyous facade was now replaced with a frown and narrowed eyes, directed at Ciel.
From the corner of my eye Ciel smirked slightly and gave him the money. He then started to walk out the door. I followed behind him. "Keep the change. Have a good day, sir."
We walked side by side down the street. Ciel's smirk never left his face. I sighed.
"What was that about?" I asked. I looked up at him as he looked down at me.
"What ever do you speak of?" He's trying to be a smart ass.
"Why were you being mean to him?"
"That does not matter now." He quickened his steps until he was a few steps in front of me.
I sighed and took off the ring that Ciel had put on me. I asked a nearby jewelry vendor for a small gift box and put the ring in there. Ciel and I then walked back to the manor.
.. The next day .. (srry)
"Can you put the runners on the chandelier and connect them to the rails of the second floor? Please and thank you." I asked Sebastian. He nodded and quickly tied the ends of the silk turquoise runners onto the chandelier then tied the other ends onto the second floor. In under a minute, he was standing in front of me dusting off his butler suit. I shook he head but gave him some other simple tasks.
The party is starting at 12 pm and we started decorating at 8 am. It's around 10 am right now. The servants and I cleaned the manor from top to bottom yesterday. I'm still a bit sore but my mother is trying really hard to create this party so I have to be committed to make it too.
I turned towards the front doors that had been suddenly thrown open. In the door way stood Nina Hopkins with a Cheshire cat grin. She had three large clothing bags hanging from her arms. They were swinging back and forth because of her sudden movement.
"I've got the outfits." She cooed as she came sprinting towards me and rubbing her face against mine, lovingly. A little too lovingly, I should say.
"Chan I shee dem." I tried to say, though Nina kept smashing her hands and face against both sides of my face. She finally pulled away but her hands remained cupped against both of my cheeks.
"Of course you can see them. Let's go to Ciel and Lizzie and show them." Immediately after she said that she pulled me towards Ciel's study. When we past by Sebastian, I heard a faint childish be said. Nina just ran faster. She ran so fast that I was literally being dragged by her arm.
She burst through the door of Ciel's study. I was almost completely out of breath. Ciel's and Lizzie's head then turned towards the door. I was hunched over trying to catch my breath and Nina had her balled up fists on her hips. The Cheshire grin never left her face. Her chest went up and down as she was a little out of breath as well. A little!
Lizzie then sprung up onto her feet. A smile on her porcelain face. "Are they done?" Nina nodded, viciously. Nina set the three large bags on Ciel's desk, blocking him from finishing the papers that he had to sign. I heard a faint groan come from him.
As soon as I got the last, much needed, breath, I walked up to the desk just as Nina pulled out the first item. It was Ciel's outfit. I immediately loved the outfit.
It had black knee-length shorts, a white collared shirt, turquoise vest and matching tie, and a black coat to go over his ensemble. In my head, Ciel looked so cute in the suit. And the turquoise vest matched perfectly with the decorations that we are using for the party. Nina was explaining the fabrics she used and her technique on how she created the outfit but I didn't pay attention. I just admired the outfit.
She then pulled out Lizzie's dress. It was an under-the-knee white dress with delicate turquoise stitching and accents. There was turquoise bows and a few layers on the same color fabric under the white lace fabric. It was cute but not my style. Too poofy. Lizzie squealed in delight at the sight of her dress. The dress came with a white headband with turquoise roses and white lace leaves connected to it.
Nina then grabbed my hand and stared into my eyes with her twinkling brown orbs. I slowly back my face away from hers. She was too close for comfort.
"I want yours to be a surprise." She then led me to my room and helped me get dressed. The problem is, she had me blindfolded. M'kay then.
