Ezra's dad

Chapter 1

Kanan's pov

It's 5 in the morning well time to get up for work. I looked over at my son and saw he was still asleep. I smiled and gently walked out of the room and got ready. I was making breakfast when Ezra woke up and came down dressed for school. I set down a plate for him and a plate for me. We ate then we got in the car. "Ezra remember don't walk home today walked to joe's today" I said "ok papa anything else" he said. "Actually yes Ezra I know you don't really like your birthday but it's coming up in a couple days so I want you to be careful the next few days ok?" I said "yes papa I promise I will see you after school" he said and got out of the car. When he was fully inside the building I drove away and thought about Ezra's birthday and how he hated his birthday. No one should hate their birthday but Ezra did. I soon pulled up at joe's and went in to get everything set up. No less than an hour goes by and joe's is packed with people. I ran some drink orders and played channels whenever someone asked. Before I knew it the clock chimed 2:15 and I knew Ezra just got out of school and was on his way here. Whenever Ezra has to walk to the bar i get  worried and even though everyone knew not to mess with with My son I am still worried something might happen to him. After all Ezra is only 6 years old and there are lots of drunk men that go in and out of these doors. It is now 2:25 and Ezra isn't here and a drunk man just walked out of the bar. This realization hit me as i ran out the doors and found Ezra about to be beat by the drunk man. I pulled out my blaster and yelled at the man "stay away from my son" "papa!!" Ezra yelled out to me with fear in his eyes. I only grew angrier at this man and he let his grip lossen enough for Ezra to break free and run to me. I still had my blaster up and pointed at the man and he looked from me to Ezra to my blaster and then slowly waked away. Ezra hugged me tightly and I picked him up and took him behind the counter. He got his sketch pad and a pencil out of his bag and began to draw while I was dealing with customers. Then these boys walked in and said "hey daddy can I have a drink" in a mocking tone "sure give me one moment" I said. Joe looked at me like I was crazy and said "how do you do it" "do what" i asked and gave him a confused look. "Ignore them how do you ignore them kanan" he said "oh I just don't let them know they are getting to me" I answered. I got the drinks and the boy came back up and took them to his friends and every time I made a drink I would look over at Ezra and make sure he was ok. Suddenly the door was slammed open and agent Kalis walked through with 2 trooper and stand by. He ordered his usual and then he got angry because The holo-news wasn't on. "Why isn't the holo-news on" he asked so I responded "cause nobody has asked for it yet" he then said "turn it on its the law" "fine" I said then Turned it on and then the  holo-news was interrupted by senator gull Travis. Kalis got even more angry then said "turn it off" "I can't it's the law" I responded. He then took a blaster out and said "I know you have a kid under here" then he pointed the blaster at the counter "I don't know what your talking about Agent Kalis there is no child here" I said in a fake calm voice. "Oh really becaus earlier I saw a boy about to be beat and then I saw you come out to protect him and you bring him inside and he hasn't came back out nor has anyone seen him" Kalis replied smugly. Kanan grabbed Ezra out from under the table and ran but Agent Kalis was hot on their trail and soon he caught up and grabbed Kanan. Kanan dropped Ezra and Agnet Kalis was about to shoot Kanan when Ezra shouted "papa no!!!" and threw his hand out in front of him and Agent Kalis was pushed across the room. I looked up at Ezra shocked and happy; you see I am a Jedi and Ezra knew it but I never expected him to be force sensitive. Ezra then started to fall to the ground from exhaustion from using the force for the first time. Kanan got up and ran to him and caught him just before he hit the ground. He decided that he needed to train him and that they needed to move because now Kalis new that at least one of them was a Jedi.

Ezra's pov:

I saw the imp about to shot my papa and I got scared "papa no!!" I shouted then on instinct I threw my hand in front of me and the imp flew away from my papa . I looked down at my hand and then papa grabbed me and we left joe's and I couldn't help but think how did I do that. Am I like papa and yes I know my dad is a Jedi. It's really cool when he speaks in my mind and stuff but can I do those things too?
