After the unfortunate incident where Narcissus fell from the horse, he was down with a rather high fever, and Astrea felt that things could get no more worst. It was end of autumn since the day his fell from the horse, and now it’s already winter, and yet Narcissus is showing no sign of recovering. Astrea’s days were occupied taking care of him and feeding him with soup and mush. After spending so much time with her patient, she’s feeling slightly feverish herself, but dare not mention anything about it to him because she still could not forgive herself. After all, she’s the one who caused him to fall from the horse and get sick like this.
But little did she know, it’s not the falling from the horse incident that causes Narcissus to be gravely ill and unenergetic. It’s the curse. The ancient evil curse that’s been placed on them is the thing that caused him to feel sick. He needs to bring her back to their kingdom soon, or else, he knew that he would definitely fallen before the time comes.
While her element is pure goodness and all things that’s brings happiness in people’s life, his is pure darkness and evil. No matter how good he has become, he could not change that very thing. He is actually of pure evil, and he needs to get out into the darkness and let the winter’s moonlight wash him and ease him from his pain. It would not break the spell, but it will definitely help him ease the pain of the curse slightly.
He sits up from the huge bed and tried not to wake Astrea, who has fallen asleep on the side of his bed. He smiled heavenly at the lovely look that represent peace on her face. Slowly, he lift the blanket and walked to the balcony and opened the huge window. Cold wind started to blow onto his body and slowly intruding the warmth of the master bedroom.
Slowly, the coldness of the winter bites Astrea’s skin and caused her to shiver. In his haste to ease his pain, he had forgotten to put her comfort into consideration. Astera started to stir and was aghast when the first thing that she saw when she opened her eyes was Narcissus growing black wings on his back, and as Narcissus started to feel comfortable with his wings spread eagle, he jumps down the balcony and lets the darkness of the winter swallowed him. Astrea let a blood curling scream as she saw what happened, shocking Narcissus with her screaming as he flew into the darkness.
“Rea!” he all but said as he looked back in the direction of the bedroom.
Terror stricken Astrea was terrified to her very core. He is a devil after all? Astrea jumps out of the bed, and rushed out of the masterbed room. And in her rush and confusion to get away from the mansion, she bumped into Eric the bulter, who is carrying a stash of papers from Narcissus study. The papers flew across the great hall. Her stampeding receive a glare from Eric.
“Miss Sinclair, that’s not very ladylike thing to do. What has gotten into you? Why are you screaming and running in the hall way?” Eric asked as he steadied Astrea as she’s about to fall down.
“Eric… I saw…” she said breathlessly.
“What did you saw?” Eric asked, his eyes growing big at her breathlessness and the state of panic that she’s in right at the moment.
“I saw Narcissus turned into a devil!” she managed to gasps out before falling onto the floor. She’s out cold, and as Eric kneel down to inspect on Astrea, Narcissus appeared from out of nowhere in his weak human form, acting as nothing had happened.
“Eric,”
“Yes Master?” Eric asked, eying his master in a dirty way.
“Miss Sinclair is not feeling too well, I will take care of her.” he said, and without waiting for the old butler to give his approval, Narcissus kneeled down and pick her up and walked to her bedroom.
