I woke up with a splitting headache. My brain was fuzzy, and my body was sore all over. I opened my eyes, which took a lot of effort, and found myself in a bed. The sunlight stung my eyes, and a horrible realization took hold of my mind. I groaned and hoped that nobody was in bed with me. I turned and found that the bed was empty. I let out a sigh of relief, but tensed up when I heard chatter. I realized that I was in a bed, in a stranger's house, and I wasn't even wearing Brooke's clothes. Just some random pajamas. I was so screwed.
I pressed my face into the pillow and let out a satistifying scream. The door creaked open and I tensed up. I made an attempt to fake a snore, but it sounded like a pig snort. The footsteps sounded closer and the person leaned over me. Their breathing sounded masculine and my deepest fears were confirmed when he laid his hands on my back.
"Cecelia, babe, wake up. I made you breakfast! I thought you might need it after that exercise we had last night," the deep voice said.
Oh my gosh. My first night at Benton, and I already slept with a complete stranger. From the sounds of this guy's voice, he sounded like a complete tool. I took a deep breath and rolled over.
I tried not to look at the guys face as I spoke, "Listen, last night, I don't know what happened and I wish it didn't. I mean, no harsh feelings, but I don't even know you! I was drunk, and this was a mistake."
The guy replied with a snort, "I'm pretty sure you know me, Cecelia."
I looked up and nearly passed out, "Oh my gosh. Wes?I cannot believe you!"
The smirking twin's face drooped, "No! It's Ellis! Ha! You should-"
Well that didn't make anything better. I slept with my new friend's boyfriend. I felt like I was drowning in oil and about to be lit on fire. I had freaking slept with a boy who had a girlfriend. I zoned out on Ellis and put my head between my hands. Why did the world hate me! I tried to reassure myself. It wasn't my fault! I was completely drunk last night! My head was pounding, and I felt my stomach churning.
"Ellis! You have a girlfriend! Why did you sleep with me! I was drunk for crying out loud! Oh my gosh, what is Brooke going to say?I hate you Ellis! I hate you! You are such a sick bas-" I ranted.
He cut me off and looked like he got punched in the stomach, "Whoa there, Cecelia. I did not cheat on my girlfriend! I was just joking! WE did NOT sleep together! You actually- I can't even-!"
Ellis looked flustered and I gawked. He was joking? What kind of sick humor does he have? I felt a blush creep up onto my cheeks.
"Oh."
Ellis tried to break the awkward silence by laughing forcefully. I tried laughing with him, and together we sounded like two donkeys dying. Next thing I know, Brooke comes bursting through the door.
"Oh! Hi, um, Brooke!"
"Hey Cecelia! How are you feeling? Good or bad?"
"Now that you say it I feel like I need to-"
Brooke looks alarmed, and she quickly grabs a trash can. She tosses it to Ellis who quickly holds it under my head. I grip the bin and puke out my insides. While I'm throwing up, I can hear Ellis and Brooke arguing. After I'm done, I wipe my mouth and give Brooke a sheepish smile. She giggles a little and turns to Ellis.
"Cecelia, Ellis has something to say to you." Brooke nudges Ellis.
"I'm sorry I played a prank on you that wasn't even funny," he mutters.
Brooke looked satisfied and turns to me.
"So Cecelia, remember anything from last night?" Brooke gives me one of her weird evil smiles.
