Chapter 4

      Beep. Beep. Beep.  Uhh when would that annoying sound go away?  I felt a small chill and I heard soft breathing.  Like someone was sleeping.  I couldn't see anything.  Just that same darkness. 

 I felt pain in my stomach.  My whole body was aching.  I then heard a soft movement.  "Ryoko.  I know you can hear me.  Wake up."  I knew that voice anywhere.  Sasuke.

        I tried as hard as I could to open my eyes.  "Ryoko.  Open your eyes."  I struggeled.  And then I felt a blinding light and I closed them again.  I heard a soft chuckle.  "Let your eyes adjust baka."  I did as he said. 

   When my eys finally adjusted I turned to glare at the Uchiha.  He was standing beside me.  "I'm not a baka."  His eyes held amusment.  Something I had never seen in the young Uchiha.  I smiled back at him.  "What happend to me?"  I watched as the amusment left his eyes.  It was replaced with anger.

   "I don't think I should be the one to explain it to you."  "That's right."   We both turned around to see Kakashi and Lady Tsunade.  Sasuke quickly stood upright.  He gave me a look and I knew he was leaving.  He would be back though.

      I watched as they both sat beside me.  "Ryoko, your owned."  "What?"  I looked at her like she was crazy.  What the heck?  "This kinda thing doesn't happen very often.  Normally Pein would not go this far, but whatever he wants, he wants it bad."  I looked to my dad.  He had his hand down.  "What can he do to me?"  "Well with that mark, he has the ability to cause you physical or mental pain, but none of it is real Ryoko.  You have to trust me.  It will feel real but it's not."  I looked at her.  "Then why is there a mark where he gripped my wrist?"  She looked at me, bewildered.  "Show me."  I showed her my wrists and her eyes got wider. 

   I decided to look into her mind because she wasn't saying anything.  He shouldn't be able to do that. I'll need to do more research.

 I then looked at my dad.

  We'll have to more even more research.  I need to find a way to help my daughter.

            Tsunade and Kakashi walked out.  I sighed as I was left alone in my thoughts.

   Then I heard a crash and....
