Draco was still trying to figure out what he had said out-loud that Pansy had heard. He had gone over the conversation and everything before it so many times that he was sure he added some random sentences in there that hadn't actually been said. Pansy, no matter how many times he asked, wouldn't even give him the slightest hint.

They were walking towards the dormitory together, keeping to the back of the group of eighth years. Draco was worried. He was pretty sure Potter was his mate, but he was also pretty sure Potter didn't like him. 'Well, from the way he blushed on the train, maybe he does like me.'

"Don't get your hopes up, Draco." Pansy said and continued walking even when Draco stopped, his mouth hanging open.

"Pansy! Please don't tell me I didn't-"

"Hurry up, Draco! I want to get first pick on my bed!" Pansy called over her shoulder, completely ignoring what Draco had said.

He jogged a little to catch up to her before asking, "How do you even know we get to pick our beds?"

"I heard the Heads talking about it."

"Well then what're we in the back of the group for? Let's go!" Draco grabbed Pansy's arm and pulled her through the crowd.

They had just managed to squeeze past the Parvati Patil and Neville Longbottom, when Draco stopped dead. The people behind them pushed Draco onwards but he was to busy being frozen to actually use his feet and ended up falling. Pansy screeched loudly, afraid Draco was going to slam his beautiful face into the ground, but thankfully Blaise, whom they had picked up while pushing through the crowd, placed a hand over her mouth.

"You're really lucky, you know that?" Pansy continued fretting over Draco, "You could have broken you face! You're lucky Potter caught you, not that I like him, in fact, I dislike him quite a lot, but he did save your face, Draco."

Draco didn't reply, he didn't want to talk right now, he just wanted to be alone. They had arrived at the common room now and everyone started rushing towards their respective dorms. The common room was very spacious, a fireplace in the right wall surrounded by countless armchairs, and desks along the left wall to study. On the far side of the room, glass doors led to a beautiful personal courtyard.

Draco didn't feel like running, he was too busy trying to sort through the mess in his head. He followed slowly behind the other boys and found that they had all already picked their rooms. Each of the six rooms had two beds but they were only eleven boys. This meant that Draco, being the last one there, got a room to himself. Potter and Weasel had picked the room closest to the restroom for reasons completely unknown to Draco, Seamus and Dean were jumping on their beds in room 5, some Hufflepuffs got room 4 and two Ravenclaws were in 3. Draco peeked into room 2 and found that Blaise was in their with his new dorm-mate, Neville Longbottom.

Draco sat on his bed and thought about what had happened earlier in the corridor, 'I have to learn to control myself, I can't let that happen again. Well, it can happen again as long as I don't actually take action.'

He sighed and thought carefully about what had happened:

Pansy, Blaise, and Draco pushed past a Parvati Patil and Neville Longbottom. Ahead of them was the trio, Potter, Weasel, and Granger. Draco's eyes narrowed as Potter put his arm around Granger's shoulders. He shouldn't be mad, Potter could do whatever he wanted, but Potter was Draco's mate. Draco stopped moving, he was frozen, paralyzed in anger and jealousy.

'Potter will be mine.'

"Good luck getting past Weasel and Granger."

"PANSY!"
