"Don't make a sound," he whispered.
We listened as the footsteps got closer to us. My heart felt like it was going to burst. Lessoned learn Renee. Never read 'The Austin Files'.

~Two days earlier~
Another day of misery. I let out a sigh.
I'm Renee. I'm your average 16 year old girl, but I have extremely bad luck. I live right next to Luke. The most popular guy in my entire school. His god like looks comes with an ego so big I'm surprised his head hasn't exploded. Knowing me, I wasn't going to get that lucky.
"Dear, can you run next door and grab a cup of sugar from Mrs. Rivers?" My mother asked
"Mom! Come on i just want to relax and enjoy spring break.... And you know I can't stand her prick son" I argued
"Don't use that kind of language young lady! And he happens to be a sweet boy"
"Ugh! Fine..." I mutter before stomping out the door
I walked over but before I could knock, the door opened.
I began to cringe at the sight.
"Oh why hello, did you come to look at my amazing body" he rubbed his chest and smirked at me
"Ehk! As if. Is your mom here Luke?"
I try not to gag as he rubbed his topless body.
"Nope, sorry babe it's just you and me"
"Ewe, never call me babe. And you mean just you"
I gasped as he pulled me into his house and shut the door.
"No, you and me"
He had me pinned up to the door, he was so close. I could feel my face grow red like a tomato.
Just then, he pulled away and looked at me. I became furious when he started laughing. He was holding his stomach and slightly leaned over. His brown locks moving as he flipped his head back up.
"You should've seen how red your face was" he grinned as whiping away a tear.
"You're a jerk!" I screamed
"Whoa calm down" he chuckled
"You.... Ugh! I just want a cup of sugar"
I laughed sarcastically when he started making faces and mocking what i just said. I swear he's five not sixteen.
"Come on, please give me some sugar" I tried to look serious
"Well, I mean...if you really want some"
he moved closer to me and cupped my cheek, inches away from my lips. That is when I realize he's doing it again.
I push him away
"A CUP of sugar you freak, not a kiss"
"Pshhh as if I would ever really kiss you. If you haven't noticed yet, I'm hot. And you're just..." He scrunched his nose in disgust
Luke Rivers, the most popular guy in school, was making fun of me. His light brown hair was messy and his tan skin made his dark brown eyes stand out. Despite his amazing body, there was nothing great about this guy. I absolutely hate him. He seems to know this and takes advantage of it to annoy me even more.
"Look, I don't like you and you don't like me, so can I just have the stupid sugar so I can leave already?" I was beyond irritated.
But to my surprise, he didn't say anything insulting. Instead he said something that shocked me.
"When did i say I didn't like you?"
