Gia's Pov:
I stared out the window of my mother's car as we passed anything and everything I've ever known. I glanced over to my younger brother Jackson and saw that he was doing the same. Currently, my mother, brother, and I are fleeing our small town in North Carolina, all because of one thing, and one thing only; My father. My mother was informed my father had escaped prison late last night making it no longer safe to live where we were. You see, my father was abusive. Growing up he would hit my brother and I, but it was never as bad as what he'd do to my mother. He used to...well getting in to details isn't important, but he did some terrible, terrible, things that led him in to prison. He could be anywhere, and my mother just couldn't handle the thought of him having the ability to get in to contact with us, so we packed as much as we could and speeded through town and out. She says we're starting fresh. New state, new names, new lives. It'll be better, things will be safer, but I'm truly terrified of the idea of starting over. I've never been easy with change and this sure as hell is change above and beyond. I felt Jackson grab my hand and I looked over to him. He had an expression on his face that containted so much fear and hurt, but I knew there was very little I could do to comfort him. After all, we're in the same boat.
''It's going to be okay,'' I mouthed to him reassuringly. I softly pushed his head on to me and let him bury his head in to my chest. I gave him a kiss on his forehead and leaned my head on to his as he wrapped his arms around me. ''It's going to be okay,'' I repeated softly, though I know it may just not be.
Princeton's POV:
''THREE, TWO, ONE, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!'' The party chanted as cofetti was blown in to the air. My new flavor of the week, Alexis grabbed me by the colar and laid a huge kiss on me.
''Happy new year baby,'' she said in between kisses as she started to kiss all over my neck.
''C'mon babe, let's not get too carried away or I'll have to punish you like I did last night,'' I said with a wink. She bit her lip and wrapped her arms around me.
''Oh Princeton, aint nothin' wrong with a little bump and grind. We're seniors for god sakes learn to have a little fun.'' She said while beginning to unlatch my belt. I smirked in return.
''You're telling ME learn to have a little fun? You must of forgotten who the hell you was talking to,'' I whispered in her ear while pushing her body closer my mine. ''I guess Mr. Fernando's gotta teach you another little lesson.'' I grabbed her by the arm, led her upstairs in to my bedroom and layed the good D on her. Females just can't get enough of this hot hot tamale. After that the party slowly came to an end and people left one by one untill it was just me and my boys Chresanto, Rayan, and Craig.
''Man look at this place, what a mess,'' Craig said while picking up cups that were once filled with beer.
''I know n*gga, but you gotta admit we threw a bomb asss party.'' Ray responded while holding out a trash bag for everyone to toss things in.
''Yeah, we did, didn't we.'' Craig agreed. ''Man Walter and Keisha may have had the best idea ever letting us go back to highschool and finally be teenagers.'' We all nodded our heads in aggreement.
''Aye Jacob, don't think I didn't see you and Alexis go up them stairs, ya'll did the dirty?'' Ray asked.
''What do you think?'' I said with a grin and raising of the eyebrows. Ray laughed and shook his head.
''Man,'' He said while pulling out 10 bucks from his pocket and slapping it in my hand. ''That was the last one on the list, and we aint even half way through the year yet.''
''What can I say? Females just can't say no do the D,'' I said while stuffing the money in my pocket. Yeah I do bets with the boys over girls all the time, it's easy money and a good time.
''Man you really are somethin' else,'' Chres said while shaking his head with dissapproval.
''Chres don't act like you ain't never f*cked before!'' I spat back.
''Yeah, but with my GIRLFRIEND. Somebody that I'm in a committed relationship with, somebody that I love.'' Chres said while brushing all the chips crumbs off the sectional. ''You just play too much,'' He mumbled. I rolled my eyes and walked in to the kitchen to wipe down the counters. I'm 17, hot, rich, famous, charming, and a teen sensation; why wouldn't I use that to my advantage? If you fine and atleast 16, you can get. No shame! We finished up the cleaning and all decided to call it a night. Winter break finished up today and school started back up Monday. Don't matter though, I seriously got not a care in the world.
MONDAY
Gia's POV:
I woke up to the sound of my iPhone alarm and quickly pressed the off button. I looked out the window of our new townhouse. We drove all night and all day for the longest time and finally reached the destination my mother was aiming for. Los Angelos. Just thinking about how different this place was from Berryville, North Carolina sent a wave of butterflies through my stomach. I don't want to be here. I just want to be at home with my family in our small house at the bottom of Apple Hill. I miss my friends, my neighbors, simply everything. I sighed, pulled my blanket off aside of me, and stood up. I freshened up quickly and walked over to my packed suitcases yet to be touched. I looked through the clothes and settled on my loose tiger tank top, a simple pair of jeans, and my trusty black combat boots. I also grabbed my leather jacket I intended to wear cause it was so cold out. I put on my clothes and pulled my curly brown hair out of the bun it was in, shaking it out a bit. I applied some curl moisutrizer to it and a bit of lip balm to my lips. I took one final look in the mirror and smiled to myself.
''I look kinda like a bad asss,'' I said to myself with a smirk. I grabbed my bag and walked down the stairs to see no one in the house. I then saw a note on the table,
''Out dropping off Jackson at school. Permission to take bike to school. It's right down the street and to your left. Be safe and remember your new last name is Thomas. Gia Thomas. Alright baby, good luck on your first day. Love, Mom.''
I sighed at the note and set it back down. I went to take a look through the fridge and soon realized we had nothing yet.
''I guess I'm skipping breakfast,'' I mumbled to myself. I grabbed the keys off of the counter and headed to our town house's new garage.
''Just be yourself, Gia. Just do you,'' I said to myself while putting on my sunglasses.
