Next Day:

Princeton's Pov: I opened up my locker and put my jacket and a few notebooks in it. A smile was plastered on my face the entire day so far as I thought back to yesterday. There were just so many things to smile about. I told Gia a part of my past and she didn't judge me in the least bit; she actually listened to me and proccessed everything I had said, ultimatly giving me great advice in the end. Also, I saw her in a thong and let me just say, BABY GOT ASSS FOR DAYSSSS. The things I wanted to do, oh lord! Still, she pushed me back in to the friend zone and I don't know why. What is it that's stopping her? It's so unlikely that I actually have genuine interest in a girl. I just wish she could see that. I closed my locker and glanced to my right only to take a double take. The captain of the football team, Avan Jogia, was flirting his ass off with Gia and she was giggling in response. Oh hell no. I walked up to the two and waited for them to notice my presence. I cleared my throat and their eyes tore away from eachother and looked at me. I directed my eye contact to Gia.

''Hey, I think I might have left my watch at you're place yesterday,'' I said while raising my eyebrows. I know good and well I aint leave no damn watch at her house, I just wanted Avan to back tf off. Avan's smile dropped and he looked back and forth between Gia and I before shaking his head and excusing himself.

''What the hell Prince? That couldn't wait?'' Gia said angrily.

''You two were flirting, so I had to let him know you're not available.'' I said simply.

''Okay one, we weren't flirting, we were talking, and two, why is it up to you to decide if I can or can't talk to a guy?'' Gia responded while crossing her arms.

''I just don't want you slipping through my fingers,'' I responded honestly. Gia's face softened a bit and she responded,

''Prince, I already told you, I can't be with a guy right now, there's just too much going on,'' She responded while looking away.

''Yeah, too much. Whatever,'' I responded while rolling my eyes. She's just making up an excuse not to be with me.

''You know what Prince, funny how I can be a friend to you and be there when you're an emotional mess like yesterday, but you can't give me the respect to obey my wishes.'' Gia snapped. I sighed and responded,

''I'm sorry, alright? It's just I want to be with you and I opened up to you, and I just feel like it's not fair you won't tell me why you can't give us a shot.'' I finished honestly. Gia made eye contact with me and then looked down,

''I just don't want to do this here. Not now, alright?'' She responded.

''Alright, so tonight? Pick you up at 6?'' I said quickly. She looked like she was going to protest but I cut her off before she could start,

''So how's that sound Mamasita?'' I said while getting close and grabbing her waist. She bit her lip with a smile and then spoke,

''Of course, Papi.''

That Night:

Princeton's Pov:

I made a hard left turn as I drove my ferrai down the street and to Gia's house. We were planning on heading over to the movies but I had a surprise for her. I pulled up to the address she had texted me and hopped out of the car. I rang the doorbell and waited for someone to come answer. A few seconds later, a women with short black hair came to the door and opened it. I immediately recognized her from the photo on the wall I saw when I was here yesterday.

''Hello there, my name is Jacob and I'm here to see a Gia Thomas?'' I said sneeking a peak in to the house.

''So you're Jacob! Oh she's told me so much about you,'' The women whispered to me with a smile. I laughed lightly.

''Oh really?'' I said jokingly.

''Hey mama, who's at the door?" Gia's voice rang as she walked down the steps. ''Oh,'' She said quickly once she made eye contact with me.

''Hey Prince, you could of just texted me I would of came out.'' She said while slipping on her boots.

''Prince?'' Gia's mom questioned.

''Princeton is my stage name, but Jacob is my real one.'' I explained.

''Oh? Why on earth would you have a stage name?" She asked confused.

''Alright Mom, gotta go, love you!'' Gia said pushing past her out the door.

''A-alright. Just be home by 11.'' She said while closing the door slowly.

''Why didn't you let me explain who I am?'' I asked. Gia just shook her head.

''Wasn''t important.'' She said simply. I dropped it and opened the car door for her. My eyes went up and down her body to view the outfit she had on. She was wearing a loose plain black tank top, baggy camo sweats, and her black hiker boots. She also wore her trusty leather jacket. I loved her swag because it wasn't typical try hard swag like leggings that show off your ass, but modest stuff that still made her look hot. I closed the door behind her and jogged around to hop in the driver seat.

''So I brought a 20, do you think that's enough for the movie?" Gia asked while setting her phone inside the mini compartment of my car.

''Yeah,'' I mumbled while pulling on to the highway.

''Um Prince, isn't the movie theature near the school...?'' Gia asked while looking at me.

''Okay so maybe we aren't going to the movies...'' I responded.

''What the hell? Where are we going?''

Gia Pov:

''Prince this is kidnapping, what the hell?!'' I said angrily. Prince is always playing games.

''Would you just calm down? Trust me.'' He said looking in to my eyes for a moment. I sighed as we drove in silence for about 5 more minutes. I closed my eyes and rested them only to be shooken awake.

''We're here,'' Prince said while unbuckling his seatbelt. I looked around and saw we were in a beach parking lot.

''We're at the beach...in january?" I said giggling and hopping out the car. I grabbed my phone and looked at the ocean. It was truly a beautiful site to see the waves crashing the shore and the sun beginning to set.

''Wow,'' I said under my breath while walking around the car.

''Beautiful, right? I thought you should see it.'' Prince said with his hands in his pockets.

''It sure is. We both pulled off our socks and shoes and began to walk on the sand. I spotted a blanket with mini candles surrouding it.

''You didn't...'' I began. Prince just looked down and smiled,

''Oh but I did.'' He said while giving me a smile. I walked over to the blanket while biting my lip smiling.

''This is amazing Prince,'' I said giving him credit for all he did. He sat down and motioned for me to sit with him.

''Well you mentioned to me you've never been to the beach, so I thought what better way then to take you when it's the most beautiful time of the day?'' He said with a smile. I blushed.

''Alrighty, well Chef Princeton has made you an amazing dinner!'' Prince said while grabbing the picnic basket that was on the right of him. ''For the appetizer, we have gourmet tortilla chips with homeade salsa.'' I giggled as he pulled out a bag of tostada corn chips and container of store bought salsa.

''For the main course we have you're choice of either a handcrafted chicken or steak burrito'' Prince continued while pulling out two burritos with the chipotle logo on them.

''And for dessert, we have my famous homeade cookies.'' Prince finished while pulling out a six pack of cookies from Safeway.

''Quite the chef you are,'' I said while chuckling.

''Oh you know how I do.'' He said while grabbing the chips and cracking the bag open. I munched on a tortilla chip as we caught up on everything that has happened the past week. We sit at lunch together, and have a few classes together, but it's always nice to catch up outside of school.

Princeton's Pov:

We laid down on the blanket with our stomach's full.

''Geez, I can't believe we ate all of that,'' Gia said while rubbing her stomach. I fell back on her and rested my head on her stomach.

''Prince, get your hair outta my face,'' She said while messing with it.

''You know you love dem' curls doe,'' I said while getting up and stretching. ''Wanna go for a walk?'' I asked while holding out my hand. She took it and hopped up.

''Gotta work off those calories,'' I said as we began to walk. We walked for a bit and then Gia suddenly spoke,

''Why'd you do all of this?'' I shrugged in response.

''You said I didn't know how to properly treat a girl, so I needed to show that I can be Prince Charming just as much as your Papi,'' I responded smirking. Gia chuckled and we walked along the shoreline.

''Wanna race?" Gia asked after a little while with a gleam in her eyes.

''I mean if you want to lose,'' I boasted. She rolled her eyes and pointed to the volleyball pole in the distance.

''First one to pass the pole wins,'' She said while grinning.

''Alright, you're on!'' I said while obnoxiously stretching.

''Count of three,'' Gia said while putting her right foot in front of her body and stretching a bit.

''One, two....THREE!'' I said as we both launched on the three. We ran neck and neck for a little way until out of no where, Gia sprinted past me and over to the pole.

''What the heck?!" I shouted. I slowed to a stop and jogged over the pole.

''Where the hell did that come from?" I said out of breath.

''Long distance track star over here Papi,'' She said while pecking her flexing arm muscles. I moved closer to her and grabbed her waist.

''I don't think you understand how much I love it when you call me Papi...'' I said while caressing her cheek. This was it. The moment of truth. Gia looked me in the eye and bit her lip. We stared at eachothers lips when suddenly she looked away.

''I-I'm s-orry Prince...'' Gia stuttered while backing away.

''What's wrong now?'' I asked biting my lip nervously.

''It's just...I don't want to get hurt. I'm afraid...'' She started.

''Of love?'' I finished. She nodded her head with a sigh and sat down.

"My mom had a really bad relationship with my dad and Im just terrified of having one too. I don't ever want to end up like she did." Gia spoke. A bad relationship? What does that mean? I thought for a moment and responded.

"Gia, you know I'd never hurt you...right? Not physically, not mentally, not in any way shape or form...right?" I asked. She looked up to me and bit her lip perplexed,

"I-I d-don't think so. Look, you're a great guy...it's just there is so much about me that you don't know, and I'm still trying to make sense of it all. I just...I've got to figure out how to steer my life in the right direction.'' She said while looking down. I lifted her chin and met a gaze with her gorgeous brown eyes.

''Maybe you could have someone else help you navigate for awhile. See what happens.'' I whispered. She gave me a small smile as we glanced down to eachothers lips. I took the oppurtunity, leaned, and planted a soft kiss on her lips. It wasn't alot, it wasn't over powering, it was just...nice. Perfect actually. She wrapped her arms around my waist and rested her head on my chest.

''Yeah, maybe I could see what happens,'' She said softly as we watched the waves rise and fall to shore.
