I wake up the next morning to get ready.
I put on my dress, shoes, make up, and Illea does my hair. She puts liquid stuff on my eyes that I absolutely hate.
After I get dressed we head to the local food place with Liam, I didn't want Cato to come after yesterday, when we get there we specifically head towards the food area.
When we get there a girl who I used to be friends with named Lucy is there. She's with a boy that's pretty muscular but not as much as Liam but not even close to Cato. Lucy is wearing a dress the is white and very very fitted. Ok let's be honest, she looks like a slut. She had really high white heels. And she obviously put something in her bra to make her boobs look bigger.
When we get our fruit we head to the training center so we can give it to the new kids who are entering the academy. There's about 10 so there's enough to fill up a class.
We go over the names of the new kids 5 girls 5 boys:

Jordyn (girl)

Tulip

Angel
I have to say, my favorite girls are Angel and Jordyn they act a lot like me and Illea. And my favorite boys are Justin and Elliot they act a lot like Justin and Cato. Cato. That name burns in my brain, he's at his house, one of the biggest in the district, getting ready just to see me leave my home. I feel guilty he gets to watch his girlfriend head to certain death.
The siren that tells us to head to the square goes off. Illea and I start heading there but say hi to a few people on the way. When we get there they have us, wait, they prick our fingers. Last year they made us lick a cotton swab. The pricking kind of hurts, then they make you stick your finger onto the paper where they scan your blood. After they scan your blood they push you into a section, where you divide up, 12 in the front 18 in the back girl on onside and boys on the other.
They asked Illea and my age and we were put together along next to a girl named Elise. She was shaking so bad.
Our escort came out and said, "Here's a video brought to you all from the capital"
After the video she announced
"Now it's time to chose our male tribute and female tribute"
"As always Men first" yes we do men first.
"Cato Hadley"
He walks up there too fast for any one to beat him

"Illea Hart"
Oh no, what I feared, I quickly shout
