Kagami's Revenge

CHAPTER 7

"So Kagami-Kun why did you punch Haizaki?"

Kagami POV
'Oh crap, what do I tell them? I can't tell them the real reason and I can't lie; I'm an open book. Crap. Crap. Think brain think.'

"Oh-um he-" I was cut short by Kuroko. "Actually Kagami-kun, why are you off the team?"

"Didn't coach tell you? She just kicked me off for no reason what so ever." Kuroko only responded with a simple "oh"

Now~~~~

3rd Person

There was a minute of awkward silence before Aomine decided to break it.

"So why did you punch Haiza-" "Kurokocchi, Aominecchi, Kagamicchi! Hi!" A loud voice boomed across the courts. The said voice belonged to none other that Kise. The bubbly blonde ran towards the group of boys with sparkles emerging from his skin. (Heh, I wrote that really weirdly :p)

"Is it true? Did Kagamicchi really quit the team?" The blonde suddenly asked while his hands were grabbing Kagami's shoulders which were quickly shoved off.

"How-How did you know that?" The red head spluttered, "who told you?"

"Oh it's everywhere, it's even in this magazine," Kise cheered whilst shoving the latest issue of 'Basketball monthly' in his face, "you'd have to live under a rock to not know this. Your coach was interviewed and she said you just picked up your bags and quit, no explanation to why."

The blonde was to busy chattering away to notice how the air suddenly changed. "Geez, she didn't beat around the bush did she. Oh wait is that-"

"Coach said what?" Kagami growled,

"Oh she said that you seemed off and then you finally snapped and quit the basketball team" Kise stated, still oblivious to the world around him." Oh yeah I forgot to ask why is Haizaki on the floor?" Kise usually bright eyes darkened slightly at the mentioned of Haizaki.

Aomine took the privilege of answering Kises question "Well you see," the blue headed teen slung his arm smoothly around Kagami's shoulders,"Bakagami here("Oi, don't call me an idiot, idiot!") seemed to have punched Haizaki in the face, no one knows why," Aomine smirked before adding a quick, "yet."

Kagami shoved Aomine's arm off of him and stared at the group of colourful haired teens.

"He just came at me so I punched him in the face" Kagami confidently whilst running his hand through his hair, praising himself mentally for coming up with something that good. His celebration was cut short by Kuroko.

"Kagami-Kun is lying" The pale blue haired teen spoke with a poker face, although you could see curiousity swirling around in his eyes. Kagami just stood there staring at the smaller boy in shock.

"Kagami-kun is a very bad liar."

"Come on Kagamicchi you can tell us!"

"Spit it out Bakagami"

Kagami glared at all of them however it wasn't as effective as his cheeks were a dark shade of crimson.

"Fine, he threatened me so I punched him. There are you happy? It's pretty much what I just said!"

"Kagami-Kun how did Haizaki threaten-" *ring* *ring* *ring*

Praise the lord, Kagami's phone had gone off at the right moment. Too thankful that he was saved he didn't bother reading the caller ID as he answered the phone.

"Hello?"

"Ah, hello my dear Taiga. What a pleasant surprise you picked up for once."

"O-old man?!" Kagami spluttered, a look of pure horror splashed across him face. Meanwhile the colourful haired teens were listening intently on their conversation.

"Oh how I wish you would call me dad or maybe papa or maybe even-"

"Like hell that is going to happen. What do you want?"

"Manners," Kagami's father snapped at him,"I didn't raise you to be like this." He stated in a 'I'm-better-than-you' type of voice.

"You didn't raise me at all, mum did! You were never home, how do you expect to raise me if you aren't even there?" Kagami's voice cracked slightly towards the end.

"What do you mean I was always there. You just never noticed, to busy running off to god knows where." The older man stated calmly over the phone, blissfully unaware to the emotional turmoil going on in his son.

"You were never there for me or mum! You were the one disappearing all the time to god knows where," Kagami's voice slightly rising,"I know you were cheating on mum. You could only see the good in you all; too blinded to see the truth about you! She didn't deserve that, she was an amazing person who was too kind for her own good! You just took advantage of that so you could sleep around with a bunch of slu-"

"YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH RIGHT THERE TAIGA! Akira is a lovely woman and as a matter of fact she is going to be my wife soon. That is why I called Taiga, to invite you to my wedding." Kagami's father had said with a threating tone.

Everything was silent, Kagami was frozen in shock whilst the other teens tried to figure out what was going on.

"W-what?" Was all Kagami could manage to say, his usually bright crimson eyes were glazed over as he stared off into the distance.

"You heard me Taiga, the invite should be in the mail. Goodbye."

Although the conversation had ended, the phone was still placed at his ear. His mouth agape as he still stared into the distance. Aomine was waving his hands in front of his face only to receive a soft grunt and Kise wrapped himself around Kagami's midsection crying about how the person had 'broke' him. Kuroko was just standing there, staring at his light with a small frown of concern etched  onto his face.

While all this was happening, they were unaware of the body on the ground slowly stirring awake.
