Chapter 15: 'Mystic Falls'

Song for this chapter ~ Give Me Love - Ed Sheeran.

Kat's P.O.V

I couldn't find Kol anywhere and it seemed like I'd been searching forever for him. Earlier, we had a little fight because I put myself in danger to save him and then he ran off somewhere. I had asked Elijah and Klaus if they could help me but they didn't know where he could have gotten off to.

The last place I could think of was the bar he always used to go to, The Mystic Grill, so I pushed open the door and slowly stepped inside. My ears picked up a faint noise but I couldn't tell what exactly it was.

"Someone's here." A voice I recognized as Kol's, whispered and I then realised he wasn't there alone, he was with someone else.

I felt worry course through my veins as I tried to be as quiet as possible. After a few minutes of silence, there was a giggle followed by some shuffling and when I shoved open the door I was faced with my so called 'boyfriend' making out with some blonde bitch.

"Oh my god, Kat, I'm s- fuck!" Kol groaned while pushing the girl away who smirked.

I felt the tears brimming my eyes, so I did the only thing I could do and ran, I ran away from Kol and that girl he was making out with.

When I got back home, Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah were sat on the couch drinking and all their heads turned towards me when I stepped into the room, concern written all over their faces.

Rebekah stood up, closely followed by Klaus and Elijah, and stepped over to me. "Kat, are you okay?" She asked and I shook my head.

"Did you find Kol?" Klaus questioned.

"I-I thought he would be at the grill, and he was, but h-he was with a girl and they were making out." I stuttered and Rebekah pulled me into a hug.

"My stupid, stupid brother," She whispered while gently rocking me back and forth.

A few hours later, I had ended up sitting outside and staring at the moon which shone above me. I sat there in silence until a quiet rustling was heard from behind me and when I turned around, Kol stood there with guilt plastered on his face.

"Go away." I mumbled while wiping away the tears that had continued to fall ever since I found him.

"Kat, you need to listen to me."

"I don't need to listen to anything you say, Kol!" I shouted. "I saw what you were doing and I saw that it wasn't just her who participated!"

"You're right, but I was angry because of what you did!"

I laughed bitterly at him. "Oh so this is all my fault now, is it? If I didn't try to save you, you might as well be dead right now!"

The argument went well into the night until neither of us had the voice to scream anymore. I gave him one last teary look before turning on my heel and storming away.

That night, I cried myself to sleep while the fight replayed over and over in my head until I drifted into a peaceful slumber.
