Chapter 10 - Show down.
My hand was held tightly by Liam who refused to let my grip go, even though I wasn't complaining. Today was going to be his first game, well technically a scrimmage , against his old school who are now out for his blood along side Garret who thinks it's okay to go around murdering supernaturals. Which let me state clearly is not.
I was sitting on the bench beside Liam waiting for the game to start so we could keep a look out if Garret tries to murder anyone with his lacrosse stick. Stupid I know but Stiles has some crazy theory that a knife will magically pop out of Garrets lacrosse stick and stab Liam.
Pft I doubt it. If someone was going to die I think I would of picked it up by now.
Liam's knee was repeatedly moving up and down at a fast pace showing that he was nervous. I furrowed my brow while pushing my hair back into place when the freezing wind blew past leaving me shivering.
"Liam" I muttered placing my hand on his tight trying my best to be supportive. Quite frankly the words Me and Supportive should never be put in the same sentence because I am hardly ever supportive.
His head turned to face me, his blue eyes beamed into my brown ones while his lips remained pressed in a straight line. "I know your nervous but you will do amazing out there" I smiled to the boy placing a soft kiss on his cheek which let a grin morph on his face.
Liam's grin died down after a bit and his expression turn back to stone and hard. "I just, I don't want to lose." Liam muttered while playing with his fingers unable to look at me. I turned my body towards him and placed my hands on his chin raising his head to look at me.
"You won't lose, and even if you do it's a scrimmage. As long as you walk out of this field alive, to me you have won" I smiled at the boy who attempted to push a smile onto his own face.
Liam's warm, right hand gripped mine sending small tingles run through my body which let the butterflies in my stomach roam. Me and Liam have kissed, hugged and held hands but my body still felt foreign to this completely different feeling only Liam could grant me to.
Liam exhaled slightly, closing his eyes then reopening them granting me able to see his adorable blue eyes. It was one of my favourite things about him his eyes. "Rebecca, I know this probably isn't the best time but." Liam let out a small huff, closing his eyes while saying the next couple of words. " I like you and you like me, so I want you to be my girlfriend."
My insides burst like fireworks, even though like Liam said this probably isn't the best time: with all these assassins, me finding out about this weird and supernatural world alongside becoming a banshee and Liam becoming werewolf it will make our relationship more complex but I didn't care. These felt like the darkest times and I just need someone to light the way. That's Liam.
Plus his had to work hard himself to attempt to survive and control himself. Liam is a werewolf and not by choice it was force upon him and just because his a werewolf I couldn't just stop liking him.
"Oh gosh" Liam remarked rubbing his hands across his face nervously. "What was I thinking, This is all wrong, I should of waited till after all this rubbish was over I mean I just don't want to miss this opportunity incase something happening to me and I never ha-"
I instantly cut Liam off by pressing my lips to his which stopped his pathetic rambling. Our kiss was soft and delicate, our lips moved in sync while it felt like the whole world around us froze. Like it was just us two and the madness of this world was truly over.
I pulled back slowly glancing at Liam who re-opened his eyes. "I want to be your girlfriend Liam" I blushed a light pink colour while taking his hands in mine. "Why wait when we can embrace the moment now" I smiled at him making him break into a full toothy grin.
